Government Service Leave. After applicable accrued leave has been exhausted, Leave without pay may be granted for government service in the public interest, including but not limited to the U.S. Public Health Service or Peace Corps.
Government Service Leave. Leaves of absence will be granted to faculty for military purposes and for service in such federally sponsored organizations as the Peace Corps. Applicable benefits under this Agreement will accrue to leaves granted for such purposes, provided that the faculty granted such leave will indicate a desire to return to the College within ninety (90) days of his or her severance from the above service. The granting of such leave does not confer on part-time faculty a vested right to continued employment, nor to an expectation of such employment. PH faculty will not lose PH status by virtue of such leave, nor shall the taking of such leave be deemed an interruption in service for purposes of determining continued eligibility for placement on the PH list.
Government Service Leave. After applicable accrued time off has been exhausted, unpaid time off may be granted for government service in the public interest, including but not limited to the U.S. Public Health Service or Peace Corps.
Government Service Leave. 10 Employees shall be entitled to government service leave for serving in governmental agencies such as 11 VISTA, Peace Corps and other related agencies. Such leave shall not exceed a period of two (2) full years 12 and shall be without pay. Upon returning to employment with the employer, the employee shall be 13 placed in the same position held prior to the commencement of the leave. 14

Applicable benefits under this Agreement will accrue to leaves granted for such purposes, provided that the person granted such leave will indicate their desire to return to their institution within ninety (90) days of their severance from the above service.
Government Service Leave. Leaves of absence without pay will be granted to full-time academic employees for reserve annual encampment and other active duty for training, national emergency call up of reserves, conscription or enlistment in time of national emergency. Applicable benefits shall accrue to the employee on such leave as provided by law, provided the affected academic employee indicates in writing to the President, his or her desire to return to this institution within sixty (60) days of severance from the armed services.
Government Service Leave. A. Leaves of absence may be granted up to two (2) years to professional employees with tenure status in Xxxxxxxx who join as full time participants in a government program.
Government Service Leave. Governmental service leaves may be granted for military service in the Armed Forces of the United States or service in a government-sponsored research or consultant capacity. While on such leave, school bargaining unit member shall retain their seniority and tenure rights as though they were in regular employment. Except in cases of national emergency and mandatory service, the Governing Board shall not provide compensation to persons on governmental service leave.

Government Service Leave. Any tenured full-time faculty member elected to hold office in county, state or federal government shall be entitled to a leave of absence without pay for the first term of such elective county, state or federal office. Time spent on such government service leave shall not be counted as regular service for purpose of promotion, salary adjustment, seniority in faculty affairs, retirement, or other ancillary benefits.
