Common use of Miscellaneous Leaves Clause in Contracts

Miscellaneous Leaves. a) The granting of all miscellaneous leaves, their duration, the number of employees on leave at any time and acceptable reasons for granting leaves will be at the discretion of the Employer. b) Employees may be granted up to three (3) months' unpaid leave of absence. Leaves under this provision may be extended by mutual agreement of the Employer and the Bargaining Unit. c) Except as noted in Article 15.02, miscellaneous leaves will not be granted or used for the purposes of engaging in work outside the services of the Employer.
