Mishap. An unplanned event involving (or potentially involving) injury or death to persons, damage to or loss of property or equipment, or mission failure; categorized (in accordance with NPR 8621.1). N NASA Property Tracking System (NPROP): An Agency-wide, controlled-equipment managing system designed to simplify, standardize, and reduce the cost of managing and controlling equipment, and wherein all the inventory transactions are authorized by a property custodian's signature. NATIONAL INCIDENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (NIMS): A system mandated by HSPD-5 that provides a consistent nation-wide approach for Federal, state, local, and tribal governments; the private sector; and nongovernmental organizations to work effectively and efficiently together to prepare for, respond to, and recover from domestic incidents, regardless of cause, size, or complexity. To provide for interoperability and compatibility among Federal, state, local, and tribal capabilities, NIMS includes a core set of concepts, principles, and terminology. HSPD-5 identifies these as the Incident Command System; multi-agency coordination systems; training; identification and management of resources; qualification and certification; and the collection, tracking, and reporting of incident information and incident resources. NASA MISHAP INFORMATION SYSTEM (NMIS): A custom-developed system for capturing mishaps, close calls, and hazards, as required by NPR 8621., NASA Procedural Requirements for Mishap and Close-call Reporting, Investigating, and Record Keeping.

Mishap. If a mishap involving services under this contract occurs, the contractor shall promptly report the incident within one (1) hour to the CENSECFOR Learning Site Director, CENSECFOR COR and the PCO/ACO. If the Navy conducts an investigation of the mishap, the contractor shall cooperate and assist Government personnel until the investigation is complete. Contractors shall include a clause in subcontracts, if any, under this contract to require subcontractor cooperation and assistance in mishap investigations.
Mishap. If a mishap involving services under this contract occurs, the contractor shall promptly report the incident within one (1) hour to the CENSECFOR Learning Site Director, CENSECFOR DOT, and CENSECFOR COR. For the purpose of this contract, a mishap is defined as any incident caused by a safety violation by either contractor or Government personnel, which adversely impacts the training schedule, causes substantial damage to government, public, or private property not owned by the contractor, and/or mandates that a formal inquiry be conducted. Upon notification by the contractor, the CENSECFOR COR shall advise the PCO. The contractor and its subcontractors shall cooperate and assist Government personnel during any/all investigations of mishap until the investigation is complete.

  • Improper Layoff Any employee who is improperly laid off shall be reemployed immediately upon discovery of the error and shall be reimbursed for all loss of salary and benefits.

  • Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation Grantee will;

  • Assault Any case of assault upon a teacher which occurs in the line of duty shall promptly be 20 rights and obligations with respect to such assault, and its legal assistance to the teacher in 21 connection with handling of the incident by law enforcement and judicial authorities. In such 22 event, the following shall apply:

  • Negligent Fire A “Negligent Fire” is a fire caused by negligence or fault of Purchaser’s Operations, including, but not limited to, one caused by smoking by persons engaged in Purchaser’s Operations during the course of their employment, or during rest or lunch peri- ods; or if Purchaser’s failure to comply with the require- ments of B7.2 and B7.3 results in a fire starting or permits a fire to spread. Damages and the cost of suppressing Negligent Fires shall be borne by Purchaser.

  • Assaults An employee who is assaulted while in the performance of assigned duties shall promptly report the assault to the Employer. The Employer shall promptly investigate the incident and render such assistance as necessary under the circumstances, including reporting and cooperating with law enforcement authorities.

  • Violence in the Workplace (a) The parties agree that violence shall be defined as any incident in which an employee is abused, threatened or assaulted while performing his or her work. The parties agree it includes the application of force, threats with or without weapons and severe verbal abuse. The parties agree that such incidents will not be condoned. Any employee who believes he/she has been subjected to such incident shall report this to a supervisor who will make every reasonable effort to rectify the situation. For purposes of sub-article (a) only, employees as referred to herein shall mean all employees of the Employer notwithstanding Article 2.12.

  • Harassment in the Workplace The Union and the Employer recognize the right of employees to work in an environment free from personal and sexual harassment ("Harassment"), and the Employer shall take such actions as are necessary respecting an employee engaging in harassment in the workplace.

  • Adverse Weather Shall be only weather that satisfies all of the following conditions: (1) unusually severe precipitation, sleet, snow, hail, or extreme temperature or air conditions in excess of the norm for the location and time of year it occurred based on the closest weather station data averaged over the past five years, (2) that is unanticipated and would cause unsafe work conditions and/or is unsuitable for scheduled work that should not be performed during inclement weather (i.e., exterior finishes), and (3) at the Project.
