Common use of Night Differential Clause in Contracts

Night Differential. A scheduled employee who works more than two (2) hours between 2400 and 0700 hours shall be paid a night differential of fifteen per cent (15%) of the basic rate for hours worked between 2400 and 0700. Prior authorization will be required in order to receive the Night Differential.

A scheduled employee who 35.1 When an Employee works more than two between 0000 hours (212:00 midnight) hours between 2400 and 0700 hours (7:00 a.m.) all hours shall be paid compensated at a night differential rate of fifteen per cent an additional one half (15%1.5) of the straight time rate per hour worked. Night differential shall not be deemed overtime or part of basic rate for hours worked between 2400 and 0700. Prior authorization will be required in order to receive the Night Differentialpay.
