Notice and Variation. (a) The employee shall give not less than 10 working weeks notice in writing to the employer of the date the employee proposes to commence paid or unpaid parental leave stating the period of leave to be taken.
(b) An employee seeking to adopt a child shall not be in breach of subclause (a) of this clause by failing to give the required period of notice if such failure is due to the requirement of the adoption agency to accept earlier or later placement of a child, or other compelling circumstances.
(c) An employee on or proceeding on parental leave may elect only once to extend the period of parental leave stated in the original application, provided 6 working weeks written notice is provided.

(b) A practitioner seeking to adopt a child shall not be in breach of subclause 7(a) by failing to give the required period of notice if such failure is due to the requirement of the adoption agency to accept earlier or later placement of a child, or other compelling circumstances.
(c) A practitioner proceeding on parental leave may elect to take a shorter period of parental leave and may at any time during that period elect to reduce or extend the period stated in the original application, provided four (4) weeks written notice is provided.

(c) An employee proceeding on parental leave may elect to take a shorter period of parental leave to that provided by subclause (2) of this clause and may at any time during that period elect to reduce or extend the period stated in the original application, provided four weeks written notice is provided. Modification of Duties or Transfer to a Safe Job
Notice and Variation. (i) The employee shall give not less than 4 week's notice in writing to PathCentre of the date the employee proposes to commence maternity leave stating the period of leave to be taken.
(ii) An employee seeking to adopt a child shall not be in breach of 10.5 as a consequence of failure to give the stipulated period of notice, if such failure is due to the requirement of the adoption agency to accept earlier or later placement of a child, or other compelling circumstances.
(iii) An employee proceeding on parental leave may elect to take a shorter period of maternity leave and may at any time during that period of leave elect to reduce or extend the period stated in the original application provided 4 weeks written notice is provided.
Notice and Variation. (i) A staff member shall give not less than ten week’s notice in writing to the School of the date the staff member proposes to commence parental leave stating the period of leave to be taken.
(ii) A staff member proceeding on parental leave may elect to take a shorter period of parental leave and may at any time during that period of leave elect to reduce or extend the period stated in the original application provided one term’s written notice is provided. This period may be reduced at the discretion of the Headmaster.
Notice and Variation. (i) The employee shall give not less than four week's notice in writing to the Department of Minerals and Energy of the date the employee proposes to commence maternity leave stating the period of leave to be taken.
(ii) An employee proceeding on parental leave may elect to take a shorter period of maternity leave and may at any time during that period of leave elect to reduce or extend the period stated in the original application provided four weeks written notice is provided.
Notice and Variation. (a) The practitioner shall, other than in exceptional circumstances, give not less than ten weeks' notice in writing of the date the practitioner proposes to commence parental leave stating the period of leave to be taken.
(b) A practitioner proceeding on parental leave may elect to take a shorter period of parental leave and may at any time during that period of leave elect to reduce or extend the period stated in the original application by giving four weeks written notice.
Notice and Variation. 28.9.1 The employee shall give not less than 10 weeks notice in writing to the employer of the date the employee proposes to commence paid or unpaid parental leave stating the period of leave to be taken, except in unforeseen circumstances.
28.9.2 An employee seeking to adopt a child shall not be in breach of subclause
28.9.1 by failing to give the required period of notice if such failure is due to the requirement of the adoption agency to accept earlier or later placement of a child, or other compelling circumstances.
28.9.3 An employee proceeding on parental leave or other leave entitlements under this clause is required to give 6 weeks written notice of intention to reduce or extend the period of leave stated in the original application.

(b) Where an award or agreement requires an employee to provide a greater period of notice than that stated in 20.5.1 (a), the notice provisions of the award or agreement shall prevail.
20.5.2 An employee seeking to adopt a child shall not be in breach of subclause 20.5.1 by failing to give the required period of notice if such failure is due to the requirement of the adoption agency to accept earlier or later placement of a child, or other compelling circumstances.
20.5.3 An employee proceeding on parental leave may elect to take a shorter period of parental leave to that provided by 20.
