Notice of Parental Leave. An Employee must give at least six (6) weeks’ notice of the commencement date of parental leave unless the medical condition of the birth mother or the child make that impossible or the date of placement of the child with the adoptive parent was not foreseen. In such circumstances, the Employee will give notice at the earliest possible time.
Notice of Parental Leave. (a) A teacher must give the Employer at least six (6) weeks notice in writing of the date the teacher will start parental leave unless:
(i) the medical condition of the birth mother or child makes it impossible to comply with this requirement; or,
(ii) the date of the child’s placement with the adoptive parent was not foreseeable.
(b) If the teacher cannot comply with the written notice requirement for any of the reasons stated under subsection 11.1.6
(a) the teacher must give the Employer written notice at the earliest possible time of the date that the teacher will start or has started parental leave.
(c) Employees who intend to share parental leave must advise their respective employers of their intention to share parental leave.
Notice of Parental Leave. (a) A teacher must give the Board six weeks of notice of the date the teacher will start parental leave unless the medical condition of the birth mother or child makes it impossible to comply with the requirement.
(b) If the teacher cannot comply with the written notice requirement for any of the reasons stated under section 9.3.6(a), the teacher must give the Board written notice at the earliest possible time of the date that the teacher will or has started parental leave.

(3) An Employee is entitled to start parental leave on the date specified in the written notice given to the Employer under clause (1) or (2).
(4) Written notice under Article 28(3) is deemed to be notice of parental leave under this Article unless the notice specifically provides that it is not notice of parental leave, in which case this Article applies.
(5) Employees who intend to share parental leave must advise their Employer of their intention to share parental leave.

11.8.1 A teacher must give the School Division at least six (6) weeks of notice of the date the teacher will start parental leave unless:
11.8.1.1 the medical condition of the birth mother or child makes it impossible to comply with this requirement; or
11.8.1.2 the date of the child’s placement with the adoptive parent was not foreseeable.
11.8.2 If the teacher cannot comply with the written notice requirement for any of the reasons stated under subsection 11.8.1, the teacher must give the School Division written notice at the earliest possible time of the date that the teacher will start or has started parental leave.
Notice of Parental Leave. (a) An employee shall give written notice to the employer of her/his intention to take a parental leave at least four (4) weeks prior to the commencement of such leave. Where an employee qualifies for such leave as a result of an adoption and where the child comes into the custody, care and control earlier than expected, the employee shall give reasonable written notice.
(b) If an employee on parental leave wishes to take less than thirty-five (35) weeks of parental leave, the employee shall give written notice to the employer of her/his intention to return to work at least four (4) weeks prior to the expected date of return.
