Common use of Notice of Termination by Employees Clause in Contracts

Notice of Termination by Employees. (a) The notice of termination required to be given by an employee shall be one week only. (b) If an employee fails to give notice or complete the notice period the Company shall have the right to withhold monies due to the employee with as maximum amount equal to the ordinary time rate of pay for the period of notice either required or not completed. (c) Unless otherwise agreed between the Company and an employee where a weekly employee has given or been given notice as aforesaid he or she shall continue in employment until the date of expiration of such notice. An employee having been given notice as aforesaid who absents himself or herself without reasonable cause (proof whereof shall lie upon him or her) from work during such period shall be deemed to have abandoned his/her employment and shall not be entitled to payment for work done within such period of notice.
