Number of Holidays. There shall be twelve (12) holidays and these holidays are set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. An employee who works on a holiday, as designated in Article and who meets the provisions of Article will be paid holiday as a result at time and one-half (1 his regular straight time rate of legislationpay. Employees will not be permitted to accumulate more than two lieu days per calendar year. The Corporation reserves the right of approval for the scheduling of these days. This approval shall not be established unreasonably withheld. Lieu days other than these two bank days will be scheduled within thirty (30) days before or after the day on which the holiday is observed and if it is not scheduled within the same time period, the employee be paid for the lieu day. Where an employee is required to work authorized overtime in excess of his regularly scheduled hours on a paid holiday (but not including hours on a subsequent regularly scheduled shift), such employee shall receive two and one-half times his regular straight time hourly rate for such additional authorized overtime.
