NURSE DELEGATION. The parties acknowledge that the professional staff nurse, within her or his license, is responsible for determining whom to delegate a task, based on patient assessment. · As provided for in the Nurse Practice Act (RCW 18.88), a nurse may only delegate a task (including medication administration) to unlicensed personnel in situations where it can be performed safely and competently.
