Common use of Overtime Procedure Clause in Contracts

Overtime Procedure. (a) Overtime shall first be offered to employees at the site where the work is to be done unless the nature of work requires a maintenance employee. (b) If no site employee is available to accept the overtime, it shall be offered to other employees in the same job classification in the same geographic region. (c) Subject to (a) and (b) and where operationally practical, overtime shall be offered on a rotational basis, beginning with the most senior employee in the job classification. (d) The rotational list shall be posted at each work site, within a month of the employer receiving a list of employees willing to work overtime from the union.
