Paid Carer’s Leave entitlement Sample Clauses

Paid Carer’s Leave entitlement. A full time weekly employee is entitled to use up to a maximum of 76 hours of personal leave in a 12 month period to care for a member of his or her immediate family or household when they are sick and require the employee’s care and support (a permissible occasion) or due to an unexpected emergency affecting such a member. This entitlement is subject to the employee being responsible for the care and support of the person concerned. An employee is not entitled to take carer’s leave where another person has taken leave to care for the same person.
