Paid Work Time Clause Samples

Paid Work Time. The University bargaining unit representative of the Health and Safety Subcommittee will be allowed paid work time while performing duties associated with the responsibilities of the Subcommittee.
Paid Work Time. Except as otherwise specified in this Agreement, paid work time for employees directly involved in grievances (e.g., grievant(s), witness(es)) under this Article is limited to time spent in grievance meetings with Education Northwest management representative(s) at Level I through Level IV, as applicable. Level I through IV grievance meetings shall be held during normal work hours unless the parties mutually agree to another time. Paid work time otherwise applies only if, and to the extent, Education Northwest requires an employee to participate in a grievance-related meeting or in mediation or an arbitration hearing, as applicable.

Related to Paid Work Time

  • Work Time Work time is defined as all hours actually spent in pay status including travel time required by and at the direction of the Employer before, during or after the regularly-assigned workday.

  • Break Time For daily work assignments of six or more hours, permanent and probationary employees (except bus drivers and bus aides) shall be entitled to one 15-minute break for each half of the work assignment. For work assignments of less than six hours, such employees shall be entitled to one 15-minute break. Employees who spend a majority of the workday working with a Video Display Terminal (VDT) shall be permitted to perform other job-related duties (i.e., work not involving use of a VDT) 10 continuous minutes out of each hour. Such time shall not be cumulative and shall be in addition to break time established above.

  • Work Day and Work Week The normal work day shall consist of up to 8 hours of work within a 24-hour period. The normal work week shall consist of up to 40 hours of work within a 7-day period. The Employer may define the work week on an individual, department, shift or facility basis in accordance with Federal and State law.

  • Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.

  • Standard Work Week (a) Except as provided below, the standard work week for Full-time Employees shall normally consist of 35 hours per week, which shall normally consist of 5 equal Shifts of 7 hours. (b) The standard work week for certain Full-time Employees, including but not limited to, technical Employees, shall normally consist of 37.5 hours per week, which shall normally consist of 5 equal Shifts of 7.5 hours.
