Paraprofessional. Any district EMPLOYEE who is required by the job description for his/her/her assigned position to meet the qualifications: Two years (60 credit hours) of study at an institution of higher education; or an Associate’s degree or higher; or demonstrate through a formal state or local academic assessment (Paraprofessional Exam) knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, mathematics and who are not paid for a two or four year degree, will be eligible for a twenty-five cent ($.25) per hour additional payment for passing the Paraprofessional Exam.
