JROTC a. It is understood the JROTC instructor will have retired from active military duty.
b. The following procedures shall apply to pay upon hire:
1) The difference between the active duty pay and the retirement pay is the Minimum Instructor Pay (MIP). This documentation is provided by the JROTC instructor’s branch of the military.
2) Until documentation is provided or if that amount falls below the salary of similar teachers with four (4) years of experience, pay upon hire will be the same as similar teachers with four years of experience.
3) If the MIP amount is more than the amount paid to teachers with fifteen (15) years of experience, the employee shall be paid the MIP and shall not receive district increases, until such time as the amount those with 15 years of experience are earning meets or exceeds that amount.
4) Active JROTC Instructors whose salaries are frozen, therefore ineligible for performance pay increase shall receive lump sum bonuses in the same increase amounts (performance + COLA) for the respective evaluation ratings based on their individual summative evaluations. Payout of the bonus will occur after ratification of salary.
c. Any increase on the salary schedule in subsequent years shall be in accordance with the pay increase of other bargaining unit members, which is contingent upon negotiated contractual provisions. However, eligible JROTC instructors shall only receive the higher salary increase of either the MIP or what is granted to other eligible instructional personnel, not both.
d. The parties recognize that should any of the above provisions be held to be contrary to law, Article II.E. shall apply.
JROTC. A. All JROTC instructors shall be 12-month employees. All JROTC instructors must be currently certified by one of the Armed Services that sponsors JROTC programs and provides cost sharing of personnel costs. When hired, all JROTC personnel shall be assigned pay that at least equals the Minimum Instructor Pay determined appropriate for that individual by the Military.
B. The Board shall continue its current practice to compensate JROTC personnel for weekend work, summer camp and summer duties; and the rate(s) at which the Board compensates candidates for that work shall be uniform throughout the Public School System.
JROTC. A single representative of a JROTC school team shall be provided up to five (5) days of professional leave each year to attend training conferences, sponsored by the applicable JROTC headquarters, which occur during the regular work calendar of the JROTC Instructors.
JROTC. 07 **This language will be placed on a list, funding for which will prioritized by XXX. Should the funding become available, this language will replace the current language. ** Gifted Facilitator: 05 for Gifted Facilitator if no release period is given. No Schedule F for Gifted Facilitator will be granted if the Gifted Facilitator has been given a release period for these duties.
JROTC. For each activity performed, a 2% increment shall be paid pursuant to the rules and regulations of Schedule C of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the BOARD and Local 780 of the Illinois Federation of Teachers, provided that the following conditions have been satisfied:
A. The high school Principal and JROTC Instructor must mutually agree in writing to the activities which will be conducted.
B. The activities must be from the following list of activities: Color Guard Athletic Team Cyberpatriot Academic Team Drill Team Air Rifle Team Honor Guard

b. The following procedures shall apply to initial placement on the salary schedule:
(1) The difference between the active duty pay and the retirement pay will be calculated.
(2) If that amount falls between two levels on the salary schedule, placement will be at the higher level.
(3) If that amount falls below level D, placement will be at level D.
(4) If that amount falls above level O, the employee shall be paid the difference between the active duty pay and the retirement pay and frozen at level O until such time as level O meets or exceeds that amount.
c. Any movement on the salary schedule in subsequent years shall be in accordance with the movement of other bargaining unit members, which is contingent upon negotiated contractual provisions.
d. The parties recognize that should any of the above provisions be held to be contrary to law, Article II.E. shall apply.

JROTC. XXXXXX teaches leadership, citizenship, government, wellness, fitness, first aid (including diet, exercise, drug awareness), and the history and traditions of the U.S. Navy. After school activities are Drill Competition, Air Rifle, Orienteering, Academic Competitions, Robotics (land/water), Drone.
JROTC. There will be a Joint Labor/Management Committee for JROTC that will submit a recommendation for this pro- gram by July 1, 2007.
