Common use of Part-time Seniority Clause in Contracts

Part-time Seniority. (a) Seniority for part-time employees shall be defined as the length of service with the Employer within Seniority Zone One from the employee’s date of promotion to part-time from Courtesy Clerk or if hired directly as a part-time employee since the employees most recent date of continuous employment as a part-time employee. Part-time employees will have seniority within the part-time seniority list in the store, subject to sub-articles 18.23 and 18.25.

Part-time Seniority. (a) Seniority for part-time employees shall be defined as the length of service with the Employer within Seniority Zone One Co-operative from the employee’s date of promotion to part-time from Courtesy Clerk or if hired directly as a part-time employee since the employees employee’s most recent date of continuous employment as a part-time employee. Part-time employees will have seniority within the part-time seniority list in the store, subject to sub-articles 18.23 17.23 and 18.2517.25.

It is understood by part-time from Courtesy Clerk or if hired directly as employees that each 1725 hours worked shall represent one (1) full year of service. Seniority shall operate on a part-time employee since the employees most recent date of continuous employment as a part-time employee. Part-time employees will have seniority within the part-time seniority list in the store, subject to sub-articles 18.23 and 18.25bargaining unit wide basis.
