New DepartmentsThe Employer will have the flexibility to schedule either Pre-March 17th, 1993 employees, Post-March 17th, 1993 employees or some combination of both in new departments.
New DepartmentsFrom time to time, the Employer may establish new departments according to the following criteria:
New Departments. If new departments are established, the Company and the Union shall discuss the selection of employees for such departments. Seniority shall be one of the factors in selecting such employees.

New DepartmentsThe Employer will discuss with the Union new departments that may arise.
New DepartmentsThe parties recognize that the hiring of persons or movement of existing employees to staff new or changed functions has created situations where seniority rights, rate of pay and other matters need to be reviewed and resolved. The parties have reviewed this matter in general terms during negotiations and specifically reserve the right to amend the Agreement during its life to resolve, on a mutually satisfactory basis, this matter.
New Departments. If new departments and classifications, other than those set out in Article 42, Section 3, or those in existence, whichever is greater, for which rates of pay are not established by this Agreement, are put into effect after April 1, 1988, within operations covered by this Agreement, rates governing such departments shall be subject to negotiations between parties. Rates agreed upon or awarded shall be effective as of the date the department and/or classification is established.
New DepartmentsThe parties recognize that the hiring of persons or movement of existing Urban Fare employees to staff new or changed functions may create situations where seniority rights, rate of pay and other matters may need to be reviewed and resolved. The parties reserve the right to amend the Agreement during its life to resolve, on a mutually satisfactory basis, issues that may arise due to the introduction of a new department or changes to existing departments.

An employee will not be compelled to accept a transfer to a new department where the new rates of pay will result in the employee experiencing a wage reduction.
