PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND APPAREL. 14.01 The Employer will provide each volunteer firefighter with personal protective equipment, and apparel as described in Schedule “C”.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND APPAREL. 16.01 The City will provide each volunteer firefighter with personal protective equipment in accordance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act. 16.02 A volunteer firefighter that completes ten (10) years of service shall be given their helmet upon retirement. 16.03 Clothing will be replaced on an item-for-item basis when worn or damaged up to the quantity of the article of clothing as listed below based on the volunteer firefighter’s years of service. If an article of clothing is no longer available due to a change in uniform, a substitute item that provides similar functionality will be provided. The volunteer firefighter is responsible for security of their uniform and shall return all uniform and fatigue clothing issued should they resign from the department or their employment is terminated by the City. Fatigue and uniform clothing shall only be worn as outlined in Department Policy. 16.04 A probationary volunteer firefighter participating in Volunteer Recruit Training shall be issued:

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND APPAREL. 15.01 The Employer shall at its expense, provide each employee who has completed the probationary period with the following apparel as described below;
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND APPAREL. 30:01 The Employer will provide and maintain all uniforms and protective clothing which are required to be worn on duty by its’ Firefighter as follows: (a) Bunker gear, including boots and flame resistant coveralls, that shall meet the standards set by the NFPA as amended from time to time and helmets that comply with regulations set out by the Ministry of Labour. 30:02 Probationary Volunteer Firefighters shall pay for their own boots. Upon completion of the probationary period of eighteen (18) months, the Employer will reimburse the Volunteer Firefighter for the cost of the boots, up to a maximum of one hundred fifty dollars ($150). 30:03 The Employer agrees to replace boots, if necessary, and subject to the approval of the Fire Chief or the Safety Officer, up to a maximum of one hundred fifty dollars ($150). 30:04 The Employer agrees to repair turnout gear part(s) damaged or worn in the course of performing duties and where repair is not feasible, the damaged part(s) shall be replaced at no cost to the employee. 30:05 The volunteer firefighter is responsible for security of all equipment and shall return all turnout gear and equipment should they resign from the department or their employment is terminated by the Employer.
