PFML and FMLA. When a PFML-qualifying event continues after an employee's use of FMLA leave, an employee may elect to use PFML consecutively after FMLA leave. When an FMLA-qualifying event continues after an employee's use of PFML, an employee may elect to use FMLA leave consecutively after PFML. Approved PFML may run concurrently with FMLA leave pursuant to state law.
