Placement Review Committee. 1. Each school shall establish a committee to determine placement of a student when a teacher withholds consent to the return of a student to the teacher’s class. The committee shall be composed of one (1) HEA/U building representative or designee, two (2) teachers selected by the school’s faculty, one (1) member of the school staff selected by the principal, one (1) guidance counselor, one (1) alternate teacher selected the by school’s faculty. The alternate will serve on the Committee in the event that a teacher on the Committee is the teacher who withheld consent to readmitting the student or if one of the selected faculty members is unable to serve. 2. The teacher who withheld consent to readmitting the student will not serve on the committee. 3. The teacher and placement review committee must render a decision within five (5) working days of the removal of the student from the classroom.
