Policy briefs. In October 2018 a policy brief document summarising all policy-relevant findings of DACCIWA in a compact and easy-to-understand form was completed. It contains our main conclusions with respect to air pollution, health impacts, emissions, impacts of pollution on weather and climate as well as a long-term outlook and an assessment of our observational and modelling capabilities. Concrete recommendations for policymakers are given. The document is freely available from xxxxx://xxxxxx.xxx/record/1476843#.XDm1Ai2bp24. High- quality hard copies have been produced and distributed to relevant stakeholders. A translation into French is currently under way. To advertise this policy brief and to enter a dialogue with stakeholders workshops were organised around the final project meeting in October: Accra on 12 October, Abidjan on 18 October and Lomé on 19 October 2018. These workshops were covered prominent in the African media, including national TV. A final workshop in Brussels that was organised jointly with XXXXXXX took place on 15 November with several representatives of the European Commission present.

Policy briefs. These materials will reflect the key areas being addressed in PUSH2HEAT's work program. They will be elaborated at varying levels of detail depending on the target group addressed. Each research task will include the drafting of relevant briefs – from early phase of research and when results are available- and EHPA will oversee editing. Special emphasis will be placed on data visualization (infographics) for facilitating the readability of the project's outputs.

Policy briefs. A set of policy briefs targeted at EU and national-level policymakers will be produced in the last 2 months of the project by ELO which will identify how policy can facilitate the uptake of the innovations and technologies that are piloted in the Water2REturn project. The roadmap will set out how EU implementation of nutrient recovery from industrial wastewater streams can be rolled out across Europe with a supportive policy environment. Follow-up actions will be planned to influence policy and regulation according to the recommendations in the policy briefs. Furthermore, a Policy brief and roadmap to xxxxxx EU implementation of the Water2REturn concept has been already submitted as deliverable (D9.1).
Policy briefs. The project messages, results and recommendations will be disseminated to policy makers at different levels (national, regional, European), via 2 policy briefs. Project partners will assist by translating materials and disseminating the appropriate policy briefs regionally if considered useful.

  • Policy Because the volume of human genomic and phenotypic data maintained in these repositories is substantial and, in some instances, potentially sensitive (e.g., data related to the presence or risk of developing particular diseases or conditions and information regarding family relationships or ancestry), data must be shared in a manner consistent with the research participants’ informed consent, and the confidentiality of the data and the privacy of participants must be protected. Access to human genomic data will be provided to research investigators who, along with their institutions, have certified their agreement with the expectations and terms of access detailed below. NIH expects that, through Data Access Request (DAR) process, approved users of controlled-access datasets recognize any restrictions on data use established by the Submitting Institutions through the Institutional Certification, and as stated on the dbGaP study page. Definitions of the underlined terminology in this document are found in section 13. The parties to this Agreement include: the Principal Investigator (PI) requesting access to the genomic study dataset (an “Approved User”), the PI’s home institution (the “Requester”) as represented by the Institutional Signing Official designated through the eRA Commons system, and the NIH. The effective date of this Agreement shall be the DAR Approval Date, as specified in the notification of approval of the Data Access Committee (DAC).

  • Policy Matters (a) If, on the second Business Day before any Distribution Date, the Trust Administrator determines that there will be a Class A-12 Distribution Deficiency for such Distribution Date, the Trust Administrator shall determine the amount of such Class A-12 Distribution Deficiency and shall give notice to Financial Security by telephone or telecopy of the amount of such deficiency confirmed in writing by the Notice of Nonpayment by 12:00 noon, New York City time on such second Business Day. (b) At the time of the execution and delivery of this Agreement, the Trust Administrator shall establish a separate special purpose trust account in the name of the Trust Administrator for the benefit of Holders of the Class A-12 Certificates referred to herein as the "Policy Payments Account" over which the Trust Administrator shall have exclusive control and sole right of withdrawal. The Trust Administrator shall deposit any amounts paid under the Policy into the Policy Payments Account and distribute such amounts only for purposes of payment to Holders of the Class A-12 Certificates of the Class A-12 Distribution Deficiency for which a claim was made and such amounts may not be applied to satisfy any costs, expenses or liabilities of the Trust Administrator or the Trust Estate. Amounts paid under the Policy shall be disbursed by the Trust Administrator to Holders of the Class A-12 Certificates in the same manner as distributions in reduction of the principal balance of and interest on the Certificates of such Class are made under Section 4.01(f). It shall not be necessary for such payments of the Class A-12 Distribution Deficiency to be made by checks or wire transfers separate from the check or wire transfer used to pay distributions in reduction of the principal balance of and interest on the Class A-12 Certificates with funds available to make such distributions. However, the amount of any distribution to be paid from funds transferred from the Policy Payments Account shall be noted as provided in (c) below and in the statement to be furnished to Holders of the Class A-12 Certificates and Financial Security pursuant to Section 4.04. Funds held in the Policy Payments Account shall not be invested by the Trust Administrator.

  • Workplace Safety Insurance 20.1 Each member covered by this Agreement who is absent on account of injuries received while on duty and who is receiving a pension, salary or wage award from the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board shall be entitled to be paid the difference between the pension wage and salary award from the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and his or her current net salary as long as such member remains in the employ of the Niagara Police Board. This shall be applied such that the combination of any WSIB salary or wage award plus the employer top-up shall, in total, equal the net pay of the member's current salary. The non- economic loss portion of any WSIB pension payments shall not be considered as being a salary or wage award, and hence shall not form part of these calculations. Any member who does not comply with the provisions of the Workplace Safety & Insurance Act or Regulations thereto and subsequently receives a salary or wage award or an amount less than the prevailing maximum payable, due to such non-compliance, shall not receive from the Niagara Police Board the difference between the wage or salary award paid by the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board and his or her current net salary. For the purpose of this Clause, net pay shall be the pay for the rank of the member as shown in Appendix "A" less those deductions required under Government Statutes, pension plans and as provided for in this Agreement. 20.2 Subject to the terms of this Article, each member covered by this Agreement who is injured as a result of carrying out his/her duties shall not be deprived of his/her vacations or statutory holidays as a result thereof, and shall accumulate such vacation credits and statutory holidays as he/she might otherwise receive. 20.2.1 Each member shall be entitled to accumulate the float time that he/she might otherwise receive for a period of three (3) months following the injury. 20.2.2 In respect of members who have been off work and receiving WSIB benefits for less than two

  • Policy Administration The Company shall provide all required, necessary and appropriate claims, administrative and other services with respect to the Policies.   • Travel Accident Insurance We agree to provide you with Travel Accident Insurance at no direct cost to you. You, your spouse and unmarried dependent children will be automatically insured against accidental bodily injuries or death while riding in any aircraft or land or water conveyance operated by a common carrier licensed to carry passengers for hire provided the full travel fare(s) has been charged to your Account. Death benefits will be paid to the estate of the insured; all other benefits will be paid to the insured. This insurance is subject to cancellation without prior notice. You understand and agree that the Certificate of Insurance controls all insurance terms and conditions to the exclusion of any statements made in this Agreement regarding limitations, exclusions, and claims procedures.
