POPI Sample Clauses

POPI. The Lessor and the Lessee hereby give their consent to the Property Practitioner, to process our personal information for all purposes related to this Lease, in accordance with the provisions of the Protection of Personal Information Act. Such consent specifically includes the consent to work with and disclose our bank account details to facilitate the payment of the deposit and the monthly rent to the Lessor, and for the refund of the deposit to the Lessee.
POPIThe parties to this agreement agree to provide their personal information to Conveyancing Attorneys, Estate Agency as well as the Mortgage Originator, if required (The “Institutions”), on the express understanding that: 33.1 This constitutes a consent, as required under Section 11(1)(a) of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPI”). 33.2 The Institutions will have access to our personal details which have been furnished to them for the purposes of their mandates and matters ancillary thereto. 33.3 The Institutions are authorised to release personal information not only between them, but also to the South African Revenue Services, the bond cancellation- and bond registration attorneys, the financial institution investing funds or to consider a mortgage loan application, involved in this transaction, relevant municipal authority, as well as any litigation attorney tasked with the mandate to assist with the enforcement or cancellation of the transaction, or a claim for damages, or action or application proceedings pertaining to the transaction (if necessary), solely for the purposes of this transaction. 33.4 The personal data will be used only for the purposes as set out above. 33.5 The Institutions will in addition to its POPI compliance store our details, as provided for and specified by its governing body, from time to time.
POPI. 17.1. For the purpose of this Clause:
POPI. 3.1 This addendum deals mainly with the provisions contemplated in POPI. 3.2 In addition to this addendum, the Parties agree to adhere to the provisions as stipulated in POPI as far as same is applicable to them respectively. 3.3 The purpose of this addendum is to inter alia— 3.3.1 give effect to the constitutional right to privacy, by safeguarding personal information of Bestmed members when processed by a responsible party; 3.3.2 regulate the manner in which Bestmed members’ personal information may be processed; 3.3.3 provide Bestmed members with rights and remedies to protect their personal information from processing that is not in accordance with POPI. 3.4 In this addendum both Bestmed Medical Scheme and _ (the “Parties”) will be regarded as responsible parties with regards to Bestmed members’ personal information recording and processing, 3.5 The Parties agree to undertake a complete audit (“initial audit”) of its own systems to secure the integrity and safekeeping of Bestmed members’ personal information currently under its control or in its possession. The initial audit will be conducted individually and will be completed by no later than , where after the results of such initial individual audits will be discussed between the Parties. In the event where the initial individual audit’s results identify shortcomings, breaches, safety issues or integrity risks, each Party hereto irrevocably undertakes to put measures in place to eliminate such identified shortcomings, breaches, safety issues or integrity risks, and will also commit to an end date, at which date the measures will be put into place. A final audit of each Party’s systems will be completed by no later than 3.6 The parties furthermore undertake that any personal information collected will be specific for the following lawful purpose which relates to the function or activity as stipulated herein. Take note that, although the services rendered in terms of the Main Agreement has been defined and agreed upon, the following relates to the specific and lawful purpose as prescribed in POPI: 3.7 The parties agree that the lawful processing of Bestmed members’ personal information will not be excessive given the purpose for which it is processed as per 3.5
POPI. 27.1. The Parties agree that the following terms as utilised in this clause 27 shall bear the meanings ascribed to them in the POPI Act:
POPI. 5.1 Any personal data relating to the Winner will be used solely in accordance with current Act (defined above) and POPI and will not be disclosed to a third party without the Winner’s prior consent. 5.2 This competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter) or any other Social Network. 5.3 The Winner consents to his/her personal information being shared with Xxxx Xxx & Burger employees, contractors or agents for the purpose of this Competition and for the purpose of future marketing and promotions.

Terms capitalised and used within the context of this clause 17 only but not defined in clause 1, shall have limited application to this clause 17 and shall bear the meanings ascribed to them in POPI. 16.4. The Parties shall fully comply with the statutory obligations contained in POPI, with which the Parties warrant that they are fully conversant as at the Signature Date, when processing Personal Information obtained by a Responsible Party and such Personal Information is entered into a Record. Without limiting the generality of the aforesaid, the Responsible Party shall ensure that the conditions for the lawful processing of Personal Information by or for a Responsible Party as set out in POPI are strictly adhered to when Processing a Data Subject’s
POPI. 12.1. The Customer hereby consents to the storage and use by FormatWhiz, in accordance with the provisions of the Protection of Personal Information Act No.4 of 2013 (“POPI”), of the personal information that it has provided or provides to FormatWhiz for rendering its Services. 12.2. FormatWhiz shall diligently protect the Customer’s personal information, in accordance with the provisions of POPI. 12.3. The Parties agree that upon the termination of any provision of Services entered into pursuant to these Terms and Conditions, FormatWhiz shall, at the election of the Customer, return all documentation containing personal information together with any copies thereof to the Customer; alternatively destroy all such personal information in a manner approved by the Customer and thereafter certify to the Customer that it has done so; unless legislation imposed upon FormatWhiz prevents it from returning or destroying all or part of the personal information.
