Positions to be Eliminated. If the County determines the need for a reduction in its work force, written notice of not less than two (2) weeks shall be provided to regular employees to be laid off. The Sheriff will determine the positions to be eliminated and the employees to be laid off within each affected job class.

Positions to be Eliminated. If the City determines the need for a reduction in its work force, written notice of not less than two (2) weeks shall be provided to regular employees to be laid off. The City will determine the positions to be eliminated and the employees to be laid off within each affected job class. The City’s determination shall be based on consideration of seniority within the job classes of the affected department, the qualifications and performance of the employees in the affected department and qualifications and performance of the employees in the affected job class. For the purposes of this Article, seniority will be based on years of service calculated from the original date of hire to the current date, minus any unpaid leaves of absences of more than ten (10) consecutive working days.

  • VACANCIES AND NEW POSITIONS 17.01 The Gallery shall post notice of permanent and temporary job vacancies subject to Article 4 – Temporary Full-Time Employees for a period of seven (7) calendar days before any such job is filled.
