POSTING AND FILLING VACANT POSITIONS. 1. An effort shall be made to recruit, appoint and assign the finest teachers available to staff the schools in the District. 2. In this Article, vacancy means an existing or newly created teaching position which the Board intends to post and fill in accordance with this Article exclusive of any temporary adjustment of 0.4 FTE or less which does not require posting to fill and to which a teacher is not assigned or transferred.
