Posting of Jobs. Vacancies in jobs requiring prompt filling will be immediately filled and the Employer will post a notice of the action taken within a reasonable time thereafter. The Employer will, for a period of seventy-two (72) hours, exclusive of Saturday and Sunday, after posting such vacancies under the terms of the seniority clause. Applications received within the seventy-two (72) hour period will be given consideration on the basis of the applicant’s seniority rating, together with their qualifications for the job to be filled. Vacancies which do not require filling in less time will be posted at least seven (7) days prior to filling, provided, however, that vacancies at the beginning of campaign which require filling in less time will be posted for least seventy-two (72) hours, exclusive of Saturday and Sunday. Employees eligible for the filling of vacan- cies shall not be limited to employees making application therefore. In exception to the above, the Employer need not post Station B or Station C jobs. This exception shall not apply to Station B — I jobs. The date, hour and place of the meeting of the Qualifications Committee will appear on each posted job notice and a copy thereof together with copies of the job applications will be furnished to the Union twenty-four (24) hours prior to the Quali- fications Committee meeting. There shall be no lateral transfers by the Employer to circumvent the posting of job vacancies but this shall not prevent the Employer from interchanging employees in the same rate class with their consent. The duties and qualifications of the posted job shall not be varied or altered by the Employer for the sole purpose of favoring particular applicants. The Employer will solicit interest among current Station C employees for movement to Station B positions by posting a “Notice of Interest” form. Station C employees may advise the Employer of their interest in the Station B position and the Employer will select an employee who has expressed an interest for movement to the Station B position. In the event there are no employees who expressed an interest in movement or there are no Station C employees who are qualified for the Station B position, the Employer may hire from outside to fill the position.

Employees taking a vacation of one to two weeks’ duration, who wish to be considered for a job posting during their absence, shall not inform the Personnel office, in writing, prior to their vacation period. The request must identify in which department(s) they are interested. This request will only be varied or altered valid for openings occurring during the vacation period. A bid sheet must be filed with the Personnel department on the employee’s first scheduled day back on which the Personnel department is open. Call-in bids placed to the Personnel Office by the Employer for bidding employee will be accepted, but the sole purpose employee must sign and submit to the Personnel Office a bid sheet on his/her first day back to work that the Personnel Office is open. Successful job bidders moving to a higher rate of favoring particular applicantspay will receive such higher rate if not transferred within two weeks, and such rate of pay will be the rate the employee would have earned had the transfer been completed. It is the Company’s intent to move successful job bidders within 60 calendar days after the bid is awarded to the employee. If a delay becomes necessary, written notification of the delay will be given to the employee awarded the bid. If employee is not moved within the 60 day period, the employee will keep the “A” rate of pay but not the “A” classification when he does move. To supplement notification of openings, the Company will also post opening on Wacker Vision. The Employer bulletin board will solicit interest among current Station C employees for movement to Station B positions by posting a “Notice remain the source of Interest” form. Station C employees may advise the Employer of their interest in the Station B position and the Employer will select an employee who has expressed an interest for movement to the Station B position. Posting of Jobs. Vacancies 14.01 Whenever new jobs or vacancies occur, notices of such vacancies or new jobs shall be posted in jobs requiring prompt filling will be immediately filled and the Employer will post a notice of plant on the action taken within a reasonable time thereafter. The Employer will, bulletin board for a period of seventythree (3) regular working days. Any employee wishing to apply shall do so on forms supplied by the Company within three (3) regular working days and the decision to fill such vacancy or new job shall be based on seniority, provided the employee has the ability. In the event of a dispute between the Union and the Company regarding the applicant's ability to perform the posted position, the most senior applicant shall, if he/she so requests, be granted up to a maximum of a ten (10) working day trial period to demonstrate his/her ability. Set-two (72) hours, exclusive of Saturday and Sunday, after Up Coiler Progression Under the Set-up coiler job posting such vacancies under it is understood that when there is a requirement for additional Coilers that the terms of Company will post for the seniority clauseCoiler Set-up AC@ classification. Should an employee not meet the testing requirements and is disqualified at the Set-up Coiler AB@ and AA@ stages of the Certification Program the employee will revert back to the job from which they came from when they posted for the job Set-up AC@ Classification. The employee may request at any time that they wish to be filledtested and the Company will administer the test within two weeks from the date requested. Training will be given to employees using seniority as the criteria for selecting training schedules when the program is implemented. For the purpose of training the Company will rotate (every nine (9) months) to the various coiling machines within the plant. The Company with the input from the union will select the above employees for training. For the purpose of maintaining skill levels the Company will rotate (every six (6) months) coilers to the various coiling machines within the plant. The Company with the input from the Union will select the above employees for maintaining skill levels. No more than two (2) coilers at anyone time shall be engaged in training or skills upgrading. The remaining employees in the coiler classification will be allowed to select their machines as per letter of understanding #8. All training will be done on the day and afternoon shift. Employees to be selected for training or maintenance skills training will be given a minimum of one (1) month advanced notice before their selection. An employee who has been disqualified shall not be eligible to apply for another posted job classification in coiling until at least seven one (71) year has elapsed. Coiler AC@ Classification Torin CNC Coiler 6 months Coiler AB@ Classification Wafio=s 2 Point Coiler9 months Coiler AA@ Classification Okuno 2 Point Coiler 9 months Temporary Transfer A transfer shall be considered temporary provided it does not exceed thirty (30) calendar days prior to filling, provided, however, that vacancies at the beginning of campaign which require filling in less time and if such transfer exceeds this period it will be posted for least seventy-two (72) hours, exclusive job bidding as a temporary vacancy. This period may be extended by mutual agreement of Saturday the Company and Sundaythe Union.
