Preconstruction Survey. The work operations and functions performed in order to process an application for Pole and Anchor attachments to the point just prior to performing any necessary make-ready work. There are two elements of the Preconstruction Survey: 1) field inspection of the existing facilities, and 2) administrative effort required to process the application and prepare the make- ready work order.
Preconstruction Survey. Prior to implementation of covered activities, a qualified biologist will conduct a preconstruction survey to establish whether nests of golden eagles are occupied (see Section 6.3.1,
Preconstruction Survey. This Pay Item consists of a topographic survey on a 10 foot maximum grid within and within 5 feet outside of the proposed repair area. The grid shall be established such that it can be repeated for subsequent surveys. The elevations shall be referenced to a temporary bench mark established at a location within the building which is not likely to change or be damaged during the work or the operation of the facility. A point file of the surveyed points with x, y, and z coordinates shall be provided in a comma delimited text file in addition to a drawing showing the spot elevation locations and elevations mapped onto a base map of the Transfer Station. This item will be paid for as a lump sum.
Preconstruction Survey. Contractor is expressly advised that the protection of buildings, structures, bridges, and related work adjacent and in the vicinity of its operations, wherever they may be, is solely its responsibility. Conditional inspection of buildings, bridges or other structures in the immediate vicinity of any blasting operations shall be performed by and be the responsibility of the Contractor. The inspection corridor shall extend within a 500-foot radius of any proposed blasting operations. The Contractor shall retain an independent consultant, specializing in preconstruction surveys, to conduct the required inspections. The Contractor shall have the independent consultant, before the Contractor starts blasting operations, make an examination of the interior and exterior of the adjacent structures, buildings, facilities, etc., and record by notes, measurements, photographs, etc., conditions which might be aggravated by blasting or other operations. Repairs or replacement of all conditions disturbed by the construction shall be made to the satisfaction of the owners or agents of adjacent buildings, structures, facilities, etc., and to the satisfaction of the Engineer. This does not preclude conforming to the requirements of the insurance underwriters. Two copies of surveys, photographs, videos, reports, etc., shall be given to the Engineer. Prior to the beginning of any excavations the Contractor shall advise the Engineer of all buildings or structures on which it intends to perform work or which performance of the project work will affect. The preconstruction survey will be performed by a firm specializing in performing such surveys. The qualifications and experience of the proposed consultant shall be submitted to the Engineer for approval prior to assignment of the Work. The Contractor’s attention is directed to Section 01320 of the Technical Specifications.

Related to Preconstruction Survey

  • Preconstruction Conference Prior to, or concurrent with, the issuance of the Notice to Proceed with Construction, a conference will be convened for attendance by the Owner, Contractor, A/E and appropriate Subcontractors. The purpose of the conference is to establish a working understanding among the parties as to the Work, the operational conditions at the Project Site, and general administration of the Project. Topics include communications, schedules, procedures for handling Shop Drawings and other submittals, processing Applications for Payment, maintaining required records and all other matters of importance to the administration of the Project and effective communications between the project team members.

  • Preconstruction Services During the Design & Preconstruction Phase, the Design-Builder shall provide such design and preconstruction services as are necessary to properly advance the Project. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, during the Preconstruction Phase, the Design-Builder shall: (i) work with its Architect and any design consultants to advance the design for the Project in consultation with Client Agency, the Department and its Program Manager; (ii) obtain bids from trade subcontractors to perform the work described in the Design Development Documents and provide bid tabulations to the Department; (iii) engage in any Value Engineering and scoping exercises necessary to return the cost of the work to the Project Budget; (iv) engage in preconstruction activities, including identifying any long-lead items; (v) develop a GMP proposal for the Project; and (vi) enter into a GMP for the Project. Throughout the Design & Preconstruction Phase, the Design-Builder shall schedule and attend regular meetings with the Department, the Program Manager and the Architect. A list of preconstruction deliverables is set forth in Exhibit C.

  • Construction Completion The related Construction shall have been completed substantially in accordance with the related Plans and Specifications, the related Deed and all Applicable Laws, and such Leased Property shall be ready for occupancy and operation. All fixtures, equipment and other property contemplated under the Plans and Specifications to be incorporated into or installed in such Leased Property shall have been substantially incorporated or installed, free and clear of all Liens except for Permitted Liens.

  • Preconstruction Phase The Preconstruction Phase shall mean the period commencing on the date of this CM/GC Contract and ending upon commencement of the Construction Phase; provided that if the Owner and CM/GC agree, the Construction Phase may commence before the Preconstruction Phase is completed, in which case both phases shall proceed concurrently, subject to the terms and conditions of the Contract Documents.

  • Preconstruction Meeting Furnish the names of the Certified Erosion and Sediment Control/Stormwater Supervisor, Certified Foremen, Certified Installers and Certified Designer and notify the Engineer of changes in certified personnel over the life of the contract within 2 days of change. Any company performing work for the North Carolina Department of Transportation has the ethical responsibility to fully disclose any reprimand or dismissal of an employee resulting from improper testing or falsification of records.
