Preliminary Preparation for Drilling. ENfiINEER will perform preliminary preparation for drilling concurrently with subtask 1.1 to the extent feasible, including the following activities:  Preliminary geologic study based on available geologic publications and a field visit to observe exposures of rock outcrops in the PROJECT vicinity.  Scouting and review of proposed boring locations and adjustments to these locations if appropriate for the PROJECT objectives.  Preliminary utility locates to search for potential utility conflicts with the proposed boring locations.  Collaboration with OWNER staff to set up the laydown area.  Prepare project-specific detailed work plan and health and safety plan.  Perform a sonar scan to search for significant features of interest, e.g., trees or debris, for drilling on the Lake bottom in vicinity of the intake shaft and tunnel alignment. ENfiINEER has developed the proposed boring plan based on the PROJECT objectives and a preliminary review of available site and geotechnical information. The approximate location and depths of the planned borings are shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2. During Task 1, The ENfiINEER’s staff will review the available geotechnical and topographic information to further assess the suitability of the proposed boring locations and depths. Based on this review, ENfiINEER may potentially recommend adjustments to the proposed boring locations and/or depths. Locations may also be adjusted if utility conflicts are identified. ENfiINEER will inform OWNER of recommended adjustments to the boring plan for OWNER concurrence. Utility location will be performed using fieorgia 811, field observations, and inquiring with the OWNER and USACE about the presence and location of utilities at the site. ENfiINEER will contact third party utilities for assistance in utility locations if it is determined that utilities may potentially be encountered near the proposed boring locations.

  • Preliminary Engineering In order to receive City review and approval of the Extensions, Developer shall furnish two (2) copies of the plat map, topographic map and proposed roads profile sheets in electronic format prior to the City’s ordering of the engineering plans from its Engineer. The contour elevation and road profile elevations shall be referenced to NAVD ‘88 datum. In the event Developer’s engineer prepares the construction plans and specifications, the above information shall be a part of the extension construction plans to be reviewed and approved by the City’s Engineer. The final plat map shall be to the scale of 1-inch = 20 feet. The contour map shall have a scale of 1-inch = 20 feet and contour intervals of two (2) feet or less. The road profile sheets shall be to the scale of 1-inch = 20 feet. Developer shall provide a minimum of one benchmark, datum being NAVD ‘88, on the project site; and the elevation and location of the benchmark shall be indicated on the maps furnished by Developer.

  • Site Preparation Contractor shall not begin a project for which the site has not been prepared, unless Contractor does the preparation work at no cost, or until Region 4 ESC includes the cost of site preparation in a purchase order. Site preparation includes, but is not limited to: moving furniture, installing wiring for networks or power, and similar pre-installation requirements.

  • Joint Preparation The preparation of this Agreement has been a joint effort of the parties and the resulting documents shall not, solely as a matter of judicial construction, be construed more severely against one of the parties than the other.

  • Preliminary Evaluation Site evaluation and planning functions should proceed concurrently with the accomplishment of Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents. The Design Professional shall conduct a preliminary review of the site based on information furnished by the Owner. The Design Professional will advise the Owner of potential site-related problems that the Design Professional notes from such review.
