Utility Locates. Contractor will be responsible to locate existing utilities and underground facilities that are indicated in the Contract Documents or that are known or reasonably should be known to exist in proximity to the Work. Contractor shall provide timely notice and locate requests with any affected utility or through contact with appropriate notification centers before commencing excavation or demolition Work that Contractor knows or reasonably should know is in proximity to such utilities or facilities. Contractor assumes the sole risk and will be responsible for all delay and expense arising out of Contractor’s failure to do so.
Utility Locates. CP: CP Call-Before-You-Dig 0-000-000-0000: Must be called no less than 5 Working Days (excludes Saturday, Sunday and holidays observed by CP) prior to date on that Work is to be performed.

Utility Locates. KPG will utilize a utility locate company to field locate and xxxx all public and private utilities within the project areas.
Utility Locates. The fee to provide private utility locates from Primo Locating Services, LLC will be $3,890.
Utility Locates. Contact Utility Notification Center of Colorado at or 8-1-1 or 1-800-922- 1987 prior to any excavation, for the marking of underground member utilities. The indication of utilities on the Drawings does not relieve the Service Provider of the responsibility for utility location. Service Provider is responsible for potholing all utility locations to verify the depth and locations. Potholing related to irrigation installation shall be considered incidental to irrigation installation and will not be paid separately. Route trenches to avoid existing utilities. Verify with the Project Manager any required relocation prior to installation. Repair any underground utilities damaged during construction. Make repairs at no additional cost to the contract price.

Utility Locates. 13.1 Contractors completing any excavation work are required by law to notify Iowa One Call (000-000-0000 or 811) for locates of utilities at least 48 hours prior to ALL excavations (not including weekends and holidays). No excavation work can commence until after this 48 hour time-period commencing with the issuance of a locate request or dig number from Iowa One Call has transpired.
13.1.1 When contacting Iowa One Call, the Contractor shall provide the following project location information to the operator for every locate requested: Iowa State University, Project Name, closest street, intersection, or existing building, GPS coordinates, and/or other descriptions that clearly define the work site
13.2 Prior to contacting Iowa One Call, the Contractor, subcontractor or sub-subcontractor shall white-line the proposed work sufficiently to allow the locator to easily identify the excavation area. White-lining shall be completed utilizing white paint and/or white flags.
13.3 The University will locate and mark existing university-owned and operated utilities.
13.4 Marking of university operated utilities shall be accomplished by color-coding in accordance with the Uniform Color Code of the American Public Works Association. 13.5 The Contractor, subcontractor or sub-subcontractor shall assign one person to work with the university locator. Requests for utility locates shall be sequenced in accordance with the work schedule to minimize the number of times each utility must be located.
13.6 The Contractor, subcontractor or sub-subcontractor shall preserve locate markings at all times during the work. If the markings will be destroyed or otherwise altered during the excavation, the Contractor, subcontractor or sub-subcontractor must establish suitable reference points which will enable locations of the underground facilities to be maintained at all times during the...
Utility Locates. Utilities will be drawn from surveying above ground features, including markings by utility companies resulting from the locate request. Information supplied by utility companies will be used to complete the placement of existing utilities on the plans. Locations from utility plans will be transferred into the topographic survey. Where available, above-ground features will be used to improve accuracy. Xxxxxxx will add a disclaimer to the drawings with respect to the undetermined location of underground utilities. Xxxxxxx will request that the Utility Companies return to Xxxxxxx marked up plans with utility verification. Xxxxxxx will incorporate the information into the topography. All utilities identified in the topographic survey and verified by the individual utility will be incorporated into the plans. Xxxxxxx will request identification and verification by the Utility Companies of major utility conflicts such as fiber optic lines, gas pipelines, crude oil pipelines, high-pressure waterlines, transmission lines, etc., will be accomplished at the earliest possible time; follow-up with utilities which do not provide timely or complete information or as necessary to evaluate the initial utility information received such as size, material, and depth of duct banks or other utility structures in conflict with possible main alignments; and provide the City of Grand Island copies of all utility maps, drawings, or other data relating to existing utility facilities obtained by the Xxxxxxx. Xxxxxxx and the City’s Project Manager will discuss major conflicts and attempt to avoid them. If avoidance is not possible, Xxxxxxx will then request the Utility Company to verify the conflict and provide a preliminary estimate of reimbursable costs associated with the utility relocation. Plans will be distributed by Xxxxxxx to public and private utilities for comment.
