Preliminary Engineering. In order to receive City review and approval of the Extensions, Developer shall furnish two (2) copies of the plat map, topographic map and proposed roads profile sheets in electronic format prior to the City’s ordering of the engineering plans from its Engineer. The contour elevation and road profile elevations shall be referenced to NAVD ‘88 datum. In the event Developer’s engineer prepares the construction plans and specifications, the above information shall be a part of the extension construction plans to be reviewed and approved by the City’s Engineer. The final plat map shall be to the scale of 1-inch = 20 feet. The contour map shall have a scale of 1-inch = 20 feet and contour intervals of two (2) feet or less. The road profile sheets shall be to the scale of 1-inch = 20 feet. Developer shall provide a minimum of one benchmark, datum being NAVD ‘88, on the project site; and the elevation and location of the benchmark shall be indicated on the maps furnished by Developer.
Preliminary Engineering. Real estate for the improvement.
Preliminary Engineering. PE") Design is the phase of the Design process which takes a project from a conceptual state to a level of project Design definition that describes the project technical and architectural approach in order to determine environmental and community impacts, interfaces with utilities and existing infrastructure/facilities, operational characteristics, an estimate of project costs and a project execution schedule. The term also includes the products of such phase of the Design process. The PE Design phase for a Transit Project is initiated at the conclusion of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement and after the selection of the locally preferred aligunent.
Preliminary Engineering. As part of the Owners Services, the Owner shall provide to the Engineer any available relevant data the Owner may have on file concerning the Project for the Engineer to review. The Engineer will advise Owner in writing of any errors and omissions and corrections needed as a basis for the final design of the Project. The Engineer will prepare a preliminary engineering report (the “Preliminary Engineering Report”) in accordance with the requirements set forth herein and in sufficient detail (i) to indicate clearly the problems involved and the alternate solutions available to the Owner, (ii) to include preliminary layouts, sketches, and cost estimates, and (iii) to set forth clearly the Engineer’s recommendations for the final design of the Project. The Engineer’s recommendations for the final design of the Project shall meet all federal, state and county permitting requirements. The Engineer shall manage and coordinate the activities of the Project Team in the collection of geographical information and engineering data, the selection of computer software, and the distribution of Project information and status to the Owner and Project Team throughout the development of the Preliminary Engineering Report. Specific tasks to be provided by the Engineer will include those of the following identified in the Work Authorization:
Preliminary Engineering. Concept layouts will likely need to be created for a roundabout, signal and possibly all-way stop option.
Preliminary Engineering. The Consultant is responsible for developing HST design concepts at a sufficient level of detail to develop accurate capital cost estimates, right-of-way requirements, construction staging, traffic and environmental impacts to satisfy CEQA and NEPA requirements. The design concepts will include: • Plan and Profile drawings of the alignment • Typical sections • Special structures and structural modifications • Electric Traction Facilities and Catenary • Right-of-way requirements • Construction Needs and Methods • Landscaping and amenities • Station layouts (including parking) • Renderings of proposed stations • Locations and functional layouts of support facilities (maintenance, storage, substations, etc.) • Utility relocation needs • Bridge reconstructions • Analysis of freight demands for the corridor • Impacts of proposed freight operations The Consultant will develop preliminary engineering (30%) design drawings of the HST alignments, stations and station sites, grade crossings, maintenance facilities, signal and electric power facilities, and bridges or other structures. Design drawings will be used to complete a 30% costs estimate. The Consultant will need to purchase and incorporate into the Work the appropriate aerial mapping for this task. The Consultant will develop HST cost estimates, documenting all project components. Costs should be presented in current year. Unit costs for systems elements (signaling, communications, and electrification) and HST vehicles will be provided by the PM. HST engineering design criteria, train systems (signaling, communications, and electrification) engineering, operational analysis and costs will be the responsibility of the PM. The design of Station will be the responsibility of the Consultant for the Regional Engineering/Environmental work. The Consultant will develop a staged construction plan for the project. This plan will identify operable project segments or elements of the HST infrastructure (such as grade separations) that could be constructed early and bring near term project benefits to existing rail freight and conventional passenger rail services.
Preliminary Engineering. The Developer must provide the information requested below, whether the system is designed by the Developer’s engineer or the District.
a. The Developer shall furnish to the District a hard copy and electronic copy of the final plat and proposed road profiles. The electronic copy shall be in PDF and in Auto Cad. The road profile elevations shall be referenced to an acceptable datum.
b. The final plat shall be to the scale of 1-inch equals 100 feet, or 1-inch equals 50 feet. Road profiles may be to any suitable scale selected by the Developer.
c. The Developer shall provide the description, location and elevation of all bench mark data available on the project site and this information, wherever possible, shall be indicated on the maps furnished by the Developer.
d. The Developer shall disclose the location of any existing xxxxx that may be on the property. All xxxxx must be abandoned per state standards.
Preliminary Engineering. Assist the City in evaluating the Septic to Sewer Conversion Program applications, received by February 1, 2020.
Preliminary Engineering. Contractor will conduct technical studies necessary to design proposed new bridge and approach roadway. The following technical studies and memoranda are anticipated to be sufficient to address the design requirements. The contractor will complete the following: • Perform topographic survey of the surface evidence at the bridge and roadway, within 800 feet in either direction from the bridge, and creek cross sections. All permits or rights of entry necessary to complete the surveying or vegetative clearing will be provided by the County. Extensive brushing of vegetation will be completed to facilitate the survey. • Prepare base map which will include edge of paving, top of bank, toe of slope, fences, power poles, utility vaults, bridge features, property lines and easements. • Conduct a review of available data. • Conduct a field reconnaissance to assess the existing conditions. • Coordinate with FEMA for the background information of their published design peak discharges and coordinate with the County to confirm the design discharges. • Perform hydrologic analyses. • Perform a hydraulic analysis for the existing and proposed condition. • Prepare a Location Hydraulic Study Memorandum including the Caltrans standard Summary of Floodplain Encroachment Form. • Perform a creek geomorphology and a scour analysis. • Prepare a Water Quality Study Memo. • Prepare a Bridge Design Hydraulic Study Report. • Prepare a Preliminary Foundation Memorandum based on available subsurface data, as-built drawings, published geologic mapping and seismicity data, aerial photographs, preliminary project data and a site review. No subsurface exploration will be completed for the preparation of the Preliminary Foundation Memorandum. • Complete two deep foundation borings at the site, extended to a depth of approximately 50 feet below channel bottom, and one shallow boring, all within the existing roadway shoulders within County right of way. All permit application fees required by regulatory and resource agencies will be paid by the County. Drilling will be completed with a truck-mounted drill rig using auger and/or mud-rotary drilling methods and will not require diamond-bit core in hard rock. • Prepare a Foundation Report that summarizes the subsurface exploration, field and laboratory soils testing, “Log of Test Borings” drawing, seismic design criteria, liquefaction evaluation, corrosion evaluation, foundation recommendations, approach earthwork recommendations with pavement s...
