Professional Nursing Practice Committee. The purpose of the 15 Professional Nursing Practice Committee (PNCC) is to achieve excellence in nursing 16 care by promoting advancement of professional nursing practice throughout CMH that is 17 both patient and family centric. PNCC works in cooperation with the General Safety 18 (EOC) Committee and reports through the Quality Practice & Patient Safety Council.
Professional Nursing Practice Committee. Section 7-1. Up to three (3) nurses selected by the Union may meet and discuss with representatives of the University issues dealing with the implementation of this Agreement, professional practice issues, and other labor- management issues that may arise. The Union agrees that it shall endeavor to select nurses attending a meeting to ensure representation from University Health Services and campus work areas defined in this Agreement. Section 7-2. Such meetings shall be held at least semi-annually. Additional meetings or fewer meetings may be scheduled by mutual agreement of the University and the Union. When possible, the parties shall exchange proposed agenda items in advance of each meeting.

As a result of the special education and experience possessed by those employees covered by this Agreement, they have a unique contribution to make toward maintaining and improving patient care and therefore, the parties have agreed to establish a Professional Nursing Practitioner Committee (PNPC) at Prime Healthcare-St. Mary’s Hospital to provide a vehicle through which the views and recommendations of the employees covered by this Agreement can be heard and considered.

In no event will the committee engage in any grievances, negotiations or reinterpretation of the contract. Responsibility for developing staffing plans, reviewing staffing systems, and complying with applicable laws and regulations, such as SB 469 and all applicable Division 501 OARs, rests with the Nurse Staffing Committee. The objectives of the Committee shall be:

  • Professional Development Committee There shall be a Professional Development Committee composed of at least two (2) representatives of the Association and an equal number of representatives from the Hospital. Each party may have alternates to replace a member from time to time.

  • Traditional Medicine Cooperation 1. The aims of Traditional Medicine cooperation will be: (a) to build on existing agreements or arrangements already in place for Traditional Medicine cooperation; and (b) to promote information exchanges on Traditional Medicine between the Parties. 2. In pursuit of the objectives in Article 149 (Objectives), the Parties will encourage and facilitate, as appropriate, the following activities, including, but not limited to: (a) encouraging dialogue on Traditional Medicine policies and promotion of respective Traditional Medicine; (b) raising awareness of active effects of Traditional Medicine; (c) encouraging exchange of experience in conservation and restoration of Traditional Medicine; (d) encouraging exchange of experience on management, research and development for Traditional Medicine; (e) encouraging cooperation in the Traditional Medicine education field, mainly through training programs and means of communication; (f) having a consultation mechanism between the Parties' Traditional Medicine authorities; (g) encouraging cooperation in Traditional Medicine therapeutic services and products manufacturing; and (h) encouraging cooperation in research in the fields of Traditional Medicine in order to contribute in efficacy and safety assessments of natural resources and products used in health care.

  • Occupational Health & Safety Committee The parties agree to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and any other federal, provincial or municipal health and safety legislation and regulations. Recognizing its responsibilities under the applicable legislation, the Employer agrees to accept as a member of its Occupational Health and Safety Committee, one representative selected or appointed by the Association from the bargaining unit. Such committee shall identify potential dangers and hazards, institute means of improving health and safety programs and recommend actions to be taken to improve conditions relating to occupational health and safety. Meetings shall be held every third month or more frequently if mutually agreed. The Committee shall maintain minutes of all meetings and make the same available for review.

  • Local Professional Development Committee 1. The Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC) shall be established to oversee and review professional development plans pursuant to ORC 3319.22.

  • Professional Memberships Each employee is eligible for reimbursement for membership fees or dues paid for the maintenance of a license required to perform employee’s job and for dues paid for membership in one additional job related professional association.

  • Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee The Employer and the Union recognize the role of the joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee in promoting a safe and healthful workplace. The parties agree that a Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee shall be established for each Employer covered by this Collective Agreement. The Committee shall govern itself in accordance with the provisions of the Industrial Health and Safety Regulations made pursuant to the Workers’ Compensation Act. The Committee shall be as between the Employer and the Union, with equal representation, and with each party appointing its own representatives. Representatives of the Union shall be chosen by the Union membership or appointed by the Union. All minutes of the meetings of the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee will be recorded in a mutually agreeable format and will be sent to the Union. The Union further agrees to actively pursue with the other Health Care Unions a Joint Union Committee for the purposes of this Article. The Employer agrees to provide or cause to be provided to Employer members of the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee adequate training and orientation to the duties and responsibilities of committee members to allow the incumbents to fulfil those duties competently. The Union agrees to provide or cause to be provided to Union members of the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee adequate training and orientation to the duties and responsibilities of committee members to allow the incumbents to fulfil those duties competently. Such training and orientation shall take place within six (6) months of taking office.

  • Training Committee The parties to this Agreement may form a Training Committee. The Training Committee will be constituted by equal numbers of Employer nominees and ETU employee representatives and have a charter which clearly states its role and responsibilities. It shall monitor the clauses of this Agreement which relate to training and ensure all employees have equal access to training.

  • Occupational Health and Safety Committee The Employer and the Union agree to cooperate in the promotion of safe working conditions, the prevention of accidents, the prevention of workplace injuries and the promotion of safe workplace practices.

  • Staffing Committee A. Responsibilities. The Nurse Staffing Committee (“NSC”) shall be responsible for determining the Institute’s staffing plan and resolving complaints raised by nurses regarding the implementation of the plan as well as those activities required of it under RCW 70.41, et seq and its successors.

  • PROFESSIONAL NEGOTIATIONS A. Not later than March 1 of the calendar year in which this Agreement expires, the Association and the District will begin negotiations for a successor Agreement. Any Agreement so negotiated will apply to all teachers, and will be reduced to writing and signed by the District and the Association.
