PROFESSIONAL VISITATIONS. Inter-district visitations may be approved for the purpose of sharing ideas, methods, and techniques that will enhance professional growth. There may be twenty visitations permitted per year (10 for elementary and 10 for secondary staff). Applications for professional visitations will be processed through and regulated by the Superintendent, and a substitute shall be provided for the released time by the District.

PROFESSIONAL VISITATIONS. Upon recommendation of a building principal and approval of the Superintendent, a bargaining unit member may be granted permission to visit and observe the instructional program in another educational institution for the purpose of professional improvement. Any expenses (unless required to attend by the Board), save substitute costs, incurred will be paid by the staff member. The itinerary must be submitted at least ten (10) days in advance of the requested leave unless waived by the Superintendent and shall provide the length of time required for leave, how the visitation will benefit the teacher and the District and an estimate of the costs to be incurred. Where deemed appropriate, approval from the site for visitation may be required prior to granting the leave.

  • PROFESSIONAL NEGOTIATIONS A. Not later than March 1 of the calendar year in which this Agreement expires, the Association and the District will begin negotiations for a successor Agreement. Any Agreement so negotiated will apply to all teachers, and will be reduced to writing and signed by the District and the Association.

  • Professional Conferences Professional conferences are those conferences sponsored by educational organizations, institutions of higher learning, and government and industry concerning teaching, learning and educational research. When a full-time or part-time faculty member’s attendance at a professional conference conflicts with his/her regular assignment, the faculty member must submit a request for attendance to the appropriate Xxxx, Director, or Supervisor. If granted, the attendance at the conference will be considered leave with pay, and a follow-up report of the conference shall be submitted to the appropriate Supervisor.

  • Promotional Examinations All promotional examinations shall be competitive and shall be conducted in the same manner as open examinations except that admission to a promotional examination shall be restricted to persons in the employ of the County who have served at least six months following regular appointment to the classified service and who meet the published requirements for the examination. The Commission shall determine whether an examination shall be held on a promotional or open basis. 1492 Disposition of Papers and Records Prescribed application forms of persons who fail to appear for the written test and examination records of candidates who fail to qualify in the written test shall be destroyed at any time after thirty days from the date of promulgation of the eligible list. Examination records of candidates who qualify in an examination shall be retained during the life of the eligible list or for 15 months, whichever is longer, and the examination records of each appointee shall be filed in his/her permanent personnel folder. Following the period during which competitors may inspect their examination papers, and after their ratings in each part of the examination have been transferred to examination records, examination materials such as question booklets, answer sheets and work papers may be destroyed, but general qualification appraisal sheets and applications shall be retained at least 15 months from the date of the promulgation of the eligible list. APPOINTMENT

  • Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services are not permitted to be provided under this Agreement. Texas statutes prohibit the procurement of Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services through a cooperative agreement.

  • Auditions 18.1 The engagement shall not be deemed to have commenced until after an audition if such is desired by the Employer and an Employee shall not be entitled to any payment until he/she is definitely engaged except as prescribed herein and for any rehearsals as prescribed in this Agreement.

  • Professional Liability insurance shall be written with limits no less than $1,000,000 per claim and $1,000,000 policy aggregate limit, as applicable.

  • Professional Development Reimbursement Management will provide reimbursement for approved professional development expenses for Lieutenants and Sergeants. Funds may be used for the purpose of improving job performance, maintaining and increasing proficiency, preparing Lieutenants and Sergeants for greater responsibility, or increasing promotional opportunities. Management must approve of the specific professional development request in advance. Denial will require written notification to the requesting Lieutenant or Sergeant.

  • Professional Dues The school district will pay the annual dues for the Superintendent’s membership in the following organizations: Nebraska Council of School Administrators (NCSA), The School Superintendents Association (AASA), and any other membership dues requested by the Superintendent and approved by the Board.
