PROJECT BACKROUND Sample Clauses

PROJECT BACKROUND. Delta Airlines, via ExpressJet operating as The Delta Connection, currently provides passenger service between Brunswick Golden Isles Airport (BQK) and Atlanta’s Xxxxxxxxx Xxxxxxx International Airport (ATL) with three daily round trip connections. This service is currently provided utilizing 50-seat Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ) aircraft. Delta Airlines is currently phasing the 50-seat CRJ aircraft out of service, in favor of 70-seat CRJ aircraft, due to economic and operational advantages. The proposed change in aircraft size requires that the airport operate under the full security program as defined under 49 CFR Parts 1542 and 1544. A partial security program is required for the current 50-seat aircraft service. Delta Airlines has established that flights of the larger aircraft will commence on May 22, 2020. It is critical the that proposed security improvements are operational and approved by TSA prior to the commencement of the larger aircraft flights. To meet this goal, airport staff has outlined the program parameters, and submitted a proposed security plan to TSA for approval. Airport staff has met with potential vendors/installers to further outline the project requirements. WORK ORDER 12: This work order provides for as-directed consulting services to support the Xxxxx County Airport Commission to procure a design-build vendor agreement for Security Systems Upgrades at Brunswick Golden Isles Airport. It is anticipated that airport staff will lead this work program and that RS&H will have limited participation in the development of design-build vendor solicitation documents, limited provision of technical support, and limited review of vendor proposal documents. It is anticipated that meetings will be held by telephone or web-based conferencing. The effort under this work order will be performed on an hourly basis (cost plus multiplier). The work order is fee- limited based on an assumed work effort and may be amended by the Commission in the event that additional support services are deemed necessary.
