The retired Teacher must pay the full premium cost to maintain the Teacher's participation and coverage under the group contracts. of a Deceased Teacher If approved by the insurance underwriters and if there is no increased cost to the Board, the Spouse of a deceased Teacher may retain membership in any of the Group Benefit Plans to which the Teacher belonged at the time of death. PREPARATION TIME classroom Teacher shall be entitled minutes of preparation time per cycle free from classroom instruction supervisory duties (exclusive of student recesses and a scheduled daily lunch period). Such preparation time shall be during the students' instructional day. A classroom Teacher is any Teacher who teaches students and may include a Part-time Teacher, an itinerant Teacher, a librarian, a specialist or a principal or vice-principal. Where a classroom Teacher does not have full-time instructional duties such time shall be prorated accordingly. Preparation time shall be scheduled in blocks of not less than consecutive minutes. Preparation time is defined as time used for preparation and planning or student evaluation or other such duties as may be permitted during such time by Board policy. Preparation time may be rescheduled in the case of an emergency or when a Teacher is required to fill in for another Teacher whose absence was not foreseen by the principal. In such cases the Teacher shall be entitled to have such time made up as soon as administratively possible. The provisions in the local agreements that pertained to preparation time shall continue to apply during the term of this Agreement. Appendix

  • EMPLOYMENT OF RETIRED TEACHERS In the event the Board employs a retired teacher (as used herein, “retired teacher”) for a regular teaching position, the following shall apply:

  • Retired Teachers The BOARD may employ and assign retired teachers as day-to-day substi- tutes for no more than one hundred school days during the school year and shall pay such teachers the rate paid to day-to-day substitutes. The BOARD shall compensate such retired teachers in accor- dance with Appendix A-1L. Such retired teachers shall not be eligible for any other benefits provided to bargaining unit employees under this Agreement. The BOARD agrees that the employment and as- signment of retired teachers shall not result in the displacement of any appointed or assigned teacher.

  • Benefits for Retirees The Employer will continue payment of Extended Health, Semi-Private Health Care Coverage or equivalent for any employee from the date of early retirement to the age of sixty-five (65). However, the Employer will not continue payment of the Dental Plan or any other benefit plan, and employees will not be entitled to subscribe to same under any conditions.

  • Tenured Teachers Tenured teachers will receive formal evaluation conferences at least by the end of their fifth year in Harford County and at the minimum rate of once every five (5) years thereafter. All observations of a classroom performance shall be conducted openly.

  • Notice of Retirement (a) If an Employee gives the Board an irrevocable notice of retirement by October 1st three (3) years prior to the year of retirement, the Board shall pay him/her a six percent (6%) retirement incentive, inclusive of any other increases in compensation for each of his/her remaining three years of service.

  • Disability Retirement If, as a result of your incapacity due to physical or mental illness, You shall have been absent from the full-time performance of your duties with the Company for 6 consecutive months, and within 30 days after written notice of termination is given You shall not have returned to the full-time performance of your duties, your employment may be terminated for "Disability." Termination of your employment by the Company or You due to your "Retirement" shall mean termination in accordance with the Company's retirement policy, including early retirement, generally applicable to its salaried employees or in accordance with any retirement arrangement established with your consent with respect to You.

  • Public Employees Retirement System “PERS”) Members. For purposes of this Section 1, “employee” means an employee who is employed by the State on August 28, 2003 and who is eligible to receive benefits under ORS Chapter 238 for service with the State pursuant to Section 2 of Chapter 733, Oregon Laws 2003.

  • Vendor’s Termination If TIPS fails to materially perform pursuant to the terms of this Agreement, Vendor shall provide written notice to TIPS specifying the default (“Notice of Default”). If TIPS does not cure such default within thirty (30) days, Vendor may terminate this Agreement, in whole or in part, for cause. If Vendor terminates this Agreement for cause, and it is later determined that the termination for cause was wrongful, the termination shall automatically be converted to and treated as a termination for convenience.
