Common use of Public Service Leave Clause in Contracts

Public Service Leave. A non-probationary contract employee, upon annual application, may be granted a leave of absence without pay for the duration of the elected term(s) to serve in public office. Upon return from such leave, the employee shall be offered a position in the District for which he/she is certified and qualified.
