Pursuant to NJSA 34. 13A-1 et seq., the Board hereby agrees that every employee of the Board shall have the right to freely organize, join, and support the Association for the purpose of engaging in collective negotiations and other concerned activities for mutual aid and protection.

Pursuant to NJSA 34. 13A-1 et seg. The Township agrees that every employee of the Township shall have the right to freely organize, join and support any organization for the purpose of engaging in collective negotiations and other concerted activities for mutual aid and protection. The Township agrees that bargaining unit members, without regard to their Association membership, shall have the right freely to organize, join and support the Association and its affiliates for the same purpose. The Township agrees that it shall abide by all State and Federal laws against discrimination and that it shall not discriminate against any employee by reason of his or her membership or non-membership in the Association or its affiliate. The Township further agrees that this Agreement shall be applied equally to all employees in the bargaining unit.

As a duly selected body exercising governmental power under the laws of the State of New Jersey, the board undertakes and agrees that it shall not directly or indirectly discourage or deprive or coerce any employee in the enjoyment of any rights conferred by NJSA 34: 13A –1 et seq, or other laws of New Jersey or the Constitutions of New Jersey and the United States; that it shall not discriminate against any employee with respect to hours, wages, or any terms or conditions of employment by reason of his membership in the Association and its affiliates, his participation in any activities of the Association and its affiliates, collective negotiations with the Board, or his institution of any grievance, complaint or proceeding under this Agreement or otherwise with respect to any terms or conditions of employment.
Pursuant to NJSA 34. 13a-1 et. seq. the Somerdale Board of Education hereby recognizes the Somerdale Education Association, Inc., as the sole and exclusive representative for collective negotiation concerning terms and conditions of employment for all full time and part time personnel under contract by the Board of Education as included herein, unless in a supervisory capacity.

As a public employer, the Newark Public Schools undertakes and agrees that it shall not, directly or indirectly, discourage, deprive or coerce any nurse in the enjoyment of any rights conferred by the laws of New Jersey and the United States; that it shall not discriminate against any nurse with respect to hours, wages, or any terms or conditions of employment by reason of membership in the Association and its affiliates, any grievance, complaint, or proceeding under this agreement or otherwise with respect to any term and condition of employment. No nurse shall be disciplined, reprimanded, reduced in rank or compensation or deprived of any advantage except for inefficiency or other just cause.
