Qualification Allowances. 38.17.1. A holder of IFE Graduate Certificate or a Certificate of Fire Technology or equivalent shall receive an allowance in accordance with Schedule 4.
38.17.2. A holder of IFE Graduate Certificate and Certificate of Fire Technology or equivalent shall receive an allowance in accordance with Schedule 4.
38.17.3. A holder of IFE Membership and Graduate Certificate or equivalent shall receive an allowance in accordance with Schedule 4.
38.17.4. A holder of Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment shall receive an allowance in accordance with Schedule 4.
Qualification Allowances. In relation to the allowances Specified in Schedule 1 for U1, U2, HAT and Lead Teachers an employee will be entitled to the highest single allowance payable depending on the qualification attained.
Qualification Allowances. 38.1.1 IFE/Fire Technology Qualifications Allowance • A holder of IFE Graduate Certificate or a Certificate of Fire Technology will be paid an extra $12.20 per week. • A holder of both the IFE Graduate Certificate and the Certificate of Fire Technology will be paid an extra $18.60 per week. • A holder of both the IFE Graduate and Membership will be paid an extra $23.00 per week.
Qualification Allowances. (i) Allowances for relevant qualifications at the levels indicated hereunder will be paid as follows:
(ii) The above qualification allowances will be payable provided that:
(a) only Full Qualifications as defined in the national Referencing Report (An award is an accredited course which does not fulfil the entire requirements of a qualification in terms of the minimum number of credits established by the National Commission for Further and Higher Education. In this regard, it is being clarified that, as distinct from a qualification, an Award does not entitle a public officer to qualification allowance.);
(b) only one Qualification Allowance (the highest) shall be paid;
(c) where a degree/diploma is a pre-requisite qualification for appointment it shall not attract the relative allowance;
(d) an education grade receiving any allowance for the above qualifications maybe required to perform duties in the specific area in which he/she has attained such qualification. Qualification Allowances. A Registered Nurse who has additional qualification, as described below, is paid, in addition to their salary, a qualification allowance. One qualification allowance is payable for each eligible nursing staff member where demonstrated that the qualification is relevant to their current area of practice. The qualification allowances described below are applied to the base rate applicable to classification: Division 1 Grade 2 Year 2 (See Schedule A) and not to the base rate applicable to the Nurse‟s current classification. Qualification allowance is therefore applied as follows:
a) Hospital certificate or graduate certificate (or equivalent) - 4.0% of base rate
b) A Post Graduate Diploma or Degree (other than a nursing undergraduate degree) - 6.5% of base rate.
c) A Masters or Doctorate – 8.5% of base rate
Qualification Allowances. A Registered Nurse who holds a hospital certificate or graduate certificate shall be paid, in addition to their salary, the following amount as from the first pay period on or after the certification of this Agreement. The application must be in writing with supporting documentation and be relevant to the employee’s current area of practice in order for it to be approved by the Director of Nursing at Linley Clinic. Relevance of practice may be reviewed at the annual staff appraisal if necessary. Only one qualification allowance shall apply for any one employee. This allowance is absorbed for the employees paid over and above the rates as per Schedule A. In the following the “base rate” referred to is that applicable to an employee of Grade 2 Year 2 standing in Schedule A.
