Quality of Workmanship. The TSP shall ensure that the Project is designed, built and completed in a good workmanship using sound engineering and construction practices, and using only materials and equipment that are new and manufactured as per the MQP and following approved FQP for erection, testing & commissioning and complying with Indian /International Standards such that, the useful life of the Project will be at least thirty five (35) years from the COD of the Project. The TSP shall ensure that all major substation equipment / component (e.g. transformers, reactors, Circuit Breakers, Instrument Transformers (IT), Surge Arresters (SA), Protection relays, clamps & connectors etc.), equipment in terminal stations of HVDC installations including Thyristor/ IGBT valves, Converter Transformers, smoothing reactors, Transformer bushings and wall bushings, GIS bus ducts, towers and gantry structures and transmission towers or poles and line materials (conductors, earthwire, OPGW, insulator, accessories for conductors, OPGW & earthwires, hardware fittings for insulators, aviation lights etc), facilities and system shall be designed, constructed and tested (Type test, Routine tests, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)) in accordance with relevant CEA Regulations and Indian Standards. In case Indian Standards for any particular equipment/ system/ process is not available, IEC/ IEEE or equivalent International Standards and Codes shall be followed.

Quality of Workmanship. The TSP shall ensure that design, construction and testing of all equipment, facilities, components and systems of the Project shall be in accordance with Indian Standards and Codes issued by Bureau of Indian Standards and only in case they are not applicable under certain conditions, the other equivalent internationally recognised Standards and Codes shall be followed.

4.14.2 The Power Producer shall ensure that design, construction and testing of all equipment, facilities, components and systems of the Project shall be in accordance with Indian Standards and Codes issued by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)/ International Electro technical Commission (IEC).
Quality of Workmanship. All material and equipment furnished under this order shall be warranted by the Seller/Subcontractor against and to be free from defects in material and workmanship, design flaws. Seller/Subcontractor further agrees that all material and /or equipment will be of merchantable quality and comply with specifications of the Purchase Order/Subcontract. Seller/Subcontractor agrees to replace without charge to Hill or its subsidiaries, herein identified as Purchaser/Contractor, said material and equipment, or remedy any defects, latent or patent, not due to ordinary wear and tear, or due to improper use or Maintenance, which may develop within one year, such period to begin; (a) In cases involving material from date of acceptance (b) In cases involving operative equipment, from date such equipment is placed in operation, or within the warranty period set forth in applicable plans and specifications, whichever is longer. This warranty shall survive any inspection, delivery, acceptance or payment by Purchaser/Contractor of the materials or services. Seller/Subcontractor warrants that with respect to the materials furnished or services performed hereunder, or both of them that it has fully complied with the Fair Labor Standards Act, as amended, laws restraining use of convict labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity and Fair Employment Practice legislation and any regulations issued under the foregoing, and all other applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations and executive orders. The materials and equipment covered by this order, whether in a deliverable state or otherwise, shall remain the property of the Seller/Subcontractor until delivered to a designated site and actually received and receipt executed by Purchaser/Contractor. Any damage to the material and equipment or loss of any kind occasioned in transit shall be borne by the Seller/Subcontractor, notwithstanding the manner in which the goods are shipped or who pays the freight or other transportation costs. Purchaser/Contractor shall notify the Seller/Subcontractor as soon as is reasonable and practicable of any damage to material or equipment of any loss caused in transit. Quality of Workmanship. Contractor’s work shall be performed in a thoroughly first class and journeyman like manner and shall be in good and usable condition at the date of completion thereof.

5.2.2 The Concessionaire shall ensure that design and construction of all equipment, facilities, components and systems of the Project are in accordance with Central Electricity Authority (Technical Standards for Construction of Electrical Plants and Electric Lines) Regulations, 2010 and the Central Electricity Authority (Safety requirements for Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Electrical Plants and Electric Lines) Regulations, 2011.
