Rate and Method of Compensation. FLSA Non-Exempt Employees Compensation for overtime worked by employees in classifications listed in Appendix A , herein, shall be for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek. Management shall have the discretion to determine whether overtime compensation shall be in cash or time-off. Overtime compensation shall be in time off at the rate of one and-one-half (1 ½) hours for each hour of overtime worked or at the rate of one and-one-half (1 ½) times the employee's regular rate of pay.

Rate and Method of Compensation. Professional leave will be accrued and granted at a rate equal to the amount of time worked beyond the standard work week. If, in the judgment of the City, it becomes practical to pay for time spent beyond the customary work week, such payment will be at one and one-quarter (1¼) times the employee’s regular rate of pay.
