Rebuttal Material Sample Clauses

Rebuttal Material. If an employee believes that there is material in a personnel file which is incorrect, the employee shall be entitled to prepare in writing an explanation or opinion regarding the particular material. Such a rebuttal shall be included as part of the file. If an employee believes that specific information should be removed from a file, the employee may petition for such consideration to the City, however, any such removal is subject solely to the discretion of the City and is not grievable.

Rebuttal Material. If any employee believes a document in the employee’s personnel record is incorrect or derogatory, and the Sheriff and Director of Human Resources do not agree to satisfactorily correct the record, the employee may deliver to the Sheriff a written memorandum addressed to the employee’s own personnel file. The memorandum shall be included as part of the personnel record, provided the memorandum is relevant to the challenged documents. Any employee who believes that specific information should be removed entirely from the personnel record may petition, at any time, either the Sheriff or Director of Human Resources in writing, stating the reasons which justify the action requested.
