RECOGNITION AND DEFINITION OF TERMS. A. The STATE, by the Office of Employee Relations, and the State Colleges/Universities hereby recognize the UNION as the exclusive representative for the purpose of collective negotiations for all terms and conditions of employment in a unit embracing all nine State Colleges/Universities, the composition of which is described as follows:
1. Teaching and/or research faculty
2. Department chairpersons
3. Administrative staff (non-managerial)
4. Librarians
5. Student personnel staff 6. Demonstration teachers

The Union and the County agree that the terms and provisions hereof shall apply to all full and part time employees.

B. All other employee classifications are excluded from this Agreement.

The Employer and the Union recognize the rights and obligations of the parties to negotiate rates of pay, hours of work and all other terms and conditions of employment and to administer this Agreement on behalf of covered employees, and that such administration shall be free from discrimination and apply equally to all employees in the bargaining unit and without regard to membership or choice of non-membership in the Union.
