Common use of Regular and Overtime Pay Clause in Contracts

Regular and Overtime Pay. Employees shall be eligible for overtime pay at the rate of time and one-half for all work actually performed over thirty-five (35) hours in a given week. If such employee is required at the request of management to work on Sunday, he/ she shall receive double time pay, provided he/she has worked thirty-five (35) hours prior to Sunday. If the employee is required to work on an ALPA holiday, he/she will receive straight time plus double time. For example, if an employee’s hourly rate of pay is $6.00, he/she receives $42.00 for the holiday plus $84.00 for working on the holiday for a total of $126.00. Temporary employees will not be eligible to work either extra or overtime hours unless all full-time regular employees who normally perform the work within the department have, in the order of their seniority, first been offered the opportunity to perform the work. All payroll checks will be issued via direct deposit.
