Compensated Time. (a) Regular AM/PM regular bus runs will be paid at 2 hours (4 hours per day if the Bus Driver completes both AM and PM bus runs) to Bus Drivers and shall be inclusive of driving time (including transfers) as well as for driver responsibility for following up on student discipline matters, consulting with supervisors, parental contacts, fueling, cleaning the bus interior/exterior, pre-trip and post-trip checks, and warming up.
(1) If the actual work time on a regular run exceeds 2 hours, the Bus Driver will not be compensated for the excess time. If the bus route is consistently 15 minutes over the allotted 2 hours and can be confirmed by both technology devices and a non-unit member driving the route, the District will readjust the route to bring it within the 2 hours allotted time.
(2) Special Needs bus runs will continue to operate on an hourly basis.
(3) Bus Monitors receive hourly pay to reflect the time they work.
(b) Regular rate (for time worked beyond the 2 hours specified in 1(a) above) will be paid for: mandatory group meetings called by the Employer; continuing courses in school bus safety; CPR and First Aid training; to take the required on-road skills test (as required by the state); for parental or student discipline meetings called by the Employer; for parental contacts or meetings approved in advance by the Employer; or for time spent for drug/alcohol testing in order to comply with random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, or follow-up tests.
(c) When the Employer assigns the Employee to work in a different classification, the Employee shall receive the higher rate of pay.
(d) If an Employee is being paid by the District (on the clock) and is not performing assigned duties, the Employee may be assigned duties, inclusive of transporting students from various sites within the Dexter School District boundaries without limitation.
Compensated Time. All time spent by an employee in the evaluation process, including time spent on self-evaluations and performance discussions with management, will be compensated as time worked. The Employer will communicate in writing the unit processes and the maximum time allotted for facilitating completion. In the event that a nurse believes he or she needs more time than the maximum time allotment to complete the evaluation process, the nurse will make a written request to his or her supervisor before exceeding the maximum, which will not be unreasonably denied.
Compensated Time. Holidays, vacation days and other time off to which an employee is entitled as a matter of right under or by any provision of this contract, shall be considered as time worked and compensated accordingly for the purposes of seniority, health and welfare benefits, and continuity of employment.

Compensated Time. Compensated time off shall be counted as time worked for purposes of computing overtime pay under the provisions of this Agreement.
Compensated Time. A. Earning of Compensatory Time Compensatory time is measured from the number of hours authorized for the position. Compensated time shall be accumulated at straight time up to forty (40) hours per week and at the rate of time and one-half for all hours worked over forty (40) hours per week. Compensatory payment or time shall be granted as determined by the immediate supervisor. No compensated time shall be accumulated unless authorized by the employee's immediate supervisor. During the year the amount of compensatory time an employee may accumulate with supervisors prior approval shall be the limit set by the Fair Labor Standards Act (currently 240 – including hours at time and ½).
B. Year-end Carry Over At the employee’s option, compensatory time may be carried over from year to year only to the extent allowed by law or 40 hours whichever is less.

Compensated Time. At the request of the principal, certificated teachers may be compensated for work completed beyond the normal school day. Pay will be at $30.00 per hour. Examples of acceptable use for compensated time may include but not limited to the following: Scheduled tutoring for students Curriculum preparation Professional development District Assessment Attending IEP meetings Curriculum mapping Normal lesson planning and grading of student work would not be considered for compensated time.
