Regular Work Week Schedule. The regular work week schedule for full-time employees shall consist of five (5) work days, Monday through Friday, inclusive. Each work day shall consist of eight (8) consecutive hours, excepting a meal period.
Regular Work Week Schedule. In order to provide for the public safety and efficiency of operation, the Chief of Police shall have the authority to allocate resources and establish work schedules of employees in work periods of five (5) or four (4) days. For sworn personnel, the regular work week shall consist of four (4) ten-hour work days with lunch included. If, in the opinion of the Chief of Police, restructuring of the regular work day or work week becomes necessary for the purpose of promoting efficiency, nothing herein shall be construed as preventing the Chief of Police from restructuring the regular work day or week of individual employees.
