Release Time for Trainings and Conferences. Official representatives of the bargaining unit shall be given time off with pay to attend Guild related conferences (not to exceed three working days for a single function). The allowable aggregate of such time off shall not exceed one hundred sixty (160) hours in one calendar year. Provided, that a copy of the agenda of the meeting is submitted to the Chief, at least 14 calendar days prior to the meeting and that the Guild waives the right to working out of classification pay should a replacement be needed to assume the duty of the Guild representative granted time off.

  • Meetings and Conferences ‌ From time to time the Government may require attendance at Government conferences and meetings at no additional cost to the Government.

  • Pre-Job Conferences a) The Employer will notify the Union that a project has been awarded to the Employer following the award. Prior to the start of each project, a pre-job conference will be held to determine all site-specific issues as outlined in this Agreement. If granted, the attendance at the conference will be considered leave with pay, and a follow-up report of the conference shall be submitted to the appropriate Supervisor.

  • Attendance at Conferences and Conventions (a) The parties to this Agreement recognize that attendance or participation at conferences, conventions, symposia, workshops and other gatherings of a similar nature contributes to the maintenance of high professional standards.

Unit member shall be available at mutually arranged times during the regular school day to confer with parents regarding learning difficulties, student progress and/or behavioral problems a student may be experiencing. Unit members are encouraged to arrange a meeting or conference with parents before or after the regular school day if both time and place are mutually agreeable.

  • Driver Training A. All drivers are to be provided with appropriate training and refresher courses each year in the following areas as a minimum: * Proper use of equipment including communications equipment; * Defensive driving; * Emergency and accident procedures; * Identifying unusual passenger behavior; * Student harassment and bullying; * Conducting evacuation drills; * Sensitivity training in working with disabled persons; * Human relation skills in working with parents, school staff, etc; * General vehicle maintenance and pre-trip inspections; and * Map reading and city street coordinates. The Department of Business and Transportation Services may review Contractors’ bus driver training program, upon request.

  • Orientation and Training A transferring employee will be orientated separately to both or their new home in accordance with Article 20 the collective agreement of the designated employer.

  • Funding for Training (a) In furtherance of the objectives of clause 31 hereof, and as a further initiative to enhance the employment and career opportunities of the Employees, the Parties will continue to facilitate on-going training to improve occupational health & safety in the industry and to improve employees work skills so as to advance progression to higher industry skill levels.
