Required Rest Period a. A Flight Attendant who is scheduled to perform military charter flying as provided for in Paragraph J, must be given a minimum layover rest equal to twice the scheduled or actual flying time, whichever is greater, not to exceed twenty-four (24) hours. b. The layover rest period following the charter duty period, and preceding a duty period in which only deadheading is performed, shall be a minimum of twelve (12) hours. This rest period may be waived by the Flight Attendant to deadhead. c. The minimum rest period preceding a duty period involving eight (8) or more block hours shall never be less than twelve (12) hours.

Required Rest Period. Any employee who works over sixteen (16) hours continuous work shall receive no less than eight (8) hours of uninterrupted rest before reporting back to work. In addition, the employee will receive a 1/2 hour travel time home and a 1/2 hour travel time to return to work (a total of one (1) hour travel time). Any employee who works over twenty-four (24) hours of continuous work shall receive no less than twelve (12) hours of uninterrupted rest before reporting back to work. Should said rest period overlap the employee's normal shift time, the employee will receive Administrative Leave for those hours during the required rest period, which overlap the employee's normal scheduled work shift.

A pilot who is scheduled to perform CRAF flying that is an exception to the Basic Agreement must be given a minimum layover rest period equal to twice the scheduled or actual flying time, whichever is greater, not to exceed twenty-four (24) hours. 2. The layover rest period following a duty period under this Agreement, and preceding a duty period in which only deadheading is performed, shall be a minimum of twelve (12) hours. This rest period may be waived by the pilot to deadhead. 3. The minimum rest period preceding a duty period involving eight (8) or more hours of duty aloft shall never be less than twelve (12) hours.
Required Rest Period. No employee shall be required to work in excess of a straight sixteen hour period of employment. This means that an employee who begins their period of employment at 7:00 am and is required to work beyond the normal quitting time of 3:30 pm must “go off the clock” at 11:00 pm. Should an employee be required to work in excess of twelve (12) hours, that employee will not be required to return to their place of employment until that employee has been removed from his place of employment for a period of eight (8) hours.

  • Meal Breaks and Rest Periods For each seven and one-half (7 ½) hour shift, subject to the provisions of Article 14.09, the Employer shall provide an unpaid meal break of one-half (½) hour and paid rest periods totalling one-half (½) hour, not to be taken in less than two (2) breaks. The Employer shall schedule meal breaks in such a way that an Employee be permitted to leave her work area. Operational requirements may be such that these breaks may not be able to be taken off the premises. These breaks shall be prorated for shift duration.

  • Rest Periods All employees shall have two (2), fifteen (15) minute rest periods in each work period in excess of six (6) hours, one (1) rest period to be granted before and one (1) after the meal period. Employees working a shift of three and one-half (3½) hours, but not more than six (6) hours, shall receive one (1) rest period during such a shift. Rest periods shall not begin until one (1) hour after the commencement of work or not later than one (1) hour before either the meal period or the end of the shift. Rest periods shall be taken without loss of pay to the employees.

  • Meal and Rest Periods Employees shall receive an unpaid thirty (30) minute meal period during each regular workday and two (2) paid rest periods of fifteen (15) minutes each during each eight (8) or ten (10) hour workday. Employees who cannot be relieved of all duties shall be paid at the appropriate rate for their meal period. Meal periods and rest periods shall be administered in accordance with state law. Subject to written mutual agreement meal and/or rest periods may be combined.
