RESEARCH AND PUBLICATIONS. The School is active in research with some international collaboration. Very few papers are published in non-Polish journals.
RESEARCH AND PUBLICATIONS. The PRC gives higher weight to peer-reviewed publications including articles in mathematics journals, books, monographs and book chapters, but will also consider high quality preprints and works in progress. In addition, the PRC will consider both the quality of the published work as well as the quality and reputation of the journals in which the work appears. Candidates should describe the context of their publications and how they demonstrate research productivity, standing in the field, and an active research program. Generally, in mathematics the author names are listed alphabetically, and authors’ roles are seldom differentiated (as they are in laboratory sciences, for example). In the case that the authors’ roles are differentiated, candidates should discuss in their reflective statements their individual contributions to papers. The PRC may also consider presentations of current research at professional conferences as evidence of a candidate's research activity.
