RESIDENT DUTY HOURS. Hours of duty will be established in compliance with the Institutional Duty Hours Policy, the ACGME Duty Hours Standard, and specialty-specific Program Requirements. Duty hours are defined as all clinical and academic activities related to the training program, i.e., patient care (both inpatient and outpatient), administrative duties related to patient care (including any medical record charting completed at home), the provision for transfer of patient care, time spent in-house during call activities, scheduled didactic activities such as conferences and journal club, scheduled research activities, and other program activities such as participating in committees and in interviewing residency candidates. Duty hours do not include reading, studying, and academic preparation time spent away from the duty site. In-house call is defined as those duty hours beyond the normal work day when residents and fellows are required to be immediately available in the assigned institution. Each program shall maintain a program duty hour policy that meets the educational objectives and patient care responsibilities of the training program, and complies with duty hour limits according to ACGME requirements and the Institutional Duty Hours Policy. Residents may be assigned night rotation and weekend duties on a regular basis. The Program Director shall establish fair and reasonable schedules of hours of duty for residents, as well as adequate and defined off-duty hours.

Appropriate limits are placed on duty hours to xxxxxx high-quality education and to promote institutional oversight. Each residency program must ensure that the learning objectives of the program are not compromised by excessive reliance on residents to fulfill service obligations. Didactic and clinical education must have priority in the allotment of residents’ time and energies.   • Duty Hours 11.01 The regular work week for all employees shall be eighty (80) hours bi-weekly on shifts of eight (8) hours per day. Employees shall not be scheduled to work double shifts as a part of the normal scheduling procedure. The Employer may implement a forty (40) hour workweek on shifts of ten (10) hours per day, according to Departmental needs.

  • Other Than Normal Working Hours Non-prevailing Wage Rate Projects: Work performed from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Monday to Friday, and any time Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays. The Contractor will perform Tasks during Other Than Normal Working Hours for the Unit Price set forth in the CTC multiplied by the Adjustment Factor of: 1.

  • Overtime Hours Except as otherwise provided in this section, all hours worked in excess of the established work day, before or after an employee's regular scheduled shift, or on any regularly scheduled day off, shall be considered overtime. All paid vacation time, paid holidays, paid sick leave, compensatory time off, and paid leaves of absence shall be considered as "time worked" for purposes of this Article. Part-time employees whose established work day is less than eight (8) hours shall not be considered to be working overtime until having completed eight (8) hours of work.

  • Contact Hours The contact hour load for an eLearning course or section shall be equivalent to that for a face-to-face course.

  • Night Duty 222. Employees shall be paid eight percent (8%) more than the base rate for each hour worked between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. if the employee works at least one (1) hour of his/her shift between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., except for those employees participating in an authorized flex-time program and who voluntarily work between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

  • Office Hours 7.5.1 Each Bargaining Unit Faculty Member shall maintain a sufficient number of regular office hours to meet the reasonable needs of the Member’s students and advisees.

  • DEPENDENT PERSONAL SERVICES 1. If the employment is so exercised, such remuneration as is derived therefrom may be taxed in that other State.

  • Service Hours The services shall be provided during the working hours and days as defined by the Contractor.

  • Twelve Hour Shifts Employees shall be entitled, subject to exigencies of patient care and/or departmental requirements, to rest periods during the shift of a total of forty-five (45) minutes.
