RESIDENTIAL AGREEMENT. This Agreement covers the rates of pay, rules and working conditions of all the employees of the employers engaged in the installation of plumbing, heating and air conditioning systems in residential work. A. The regular hours of work for which regular rates shall apply shall be ten (10) hours Monday through Friday and shall fall within the period from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, except Saturday which shall be eight (8) hours between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM.

The Apprentice Ratio for the commercial, institu- tional, high-rise residential construction markets shall be one (1) to the shop and one (1) for every two (2) Journeypersons hired thereafter. The Apprentice Ra- tio for industrial projects that are not subject to an existing IBEW labour agreement and that have a to- tal electrical project value of $1,000,000 or less, shall be one (1) to the shop and one (1) for every two (2) Journeypersons hired thereafter. The Apprentice Ratio for all other markets and pro- jects shall be one (1) to the shop and one (1) for every three (3) Journeypersons hired thereafter. All Apprentices must work under the direction of a Journeyperson. Employees who perform welding for the Company shall be supplied, by the Company to the Welder, the welder’s safety hat, shield, goggles, heat resistant gloves and welder’s leathers. The Welder’s assistant (if required) shall also be supplied all protective and safety equipment. RESIDENTIAL AGREEMENT. (a) This Agreement between the Building Industry Association of Philadelphia, PA - (hereafter “B.I.A.”) on behalf of each of its members who desire to be bound hereto and any other Employer who is not a member of B.I.A. but who desires to be bound hereto, each of whom shall designate its acceptance of the terms of this Agreement by signing Exhibit H (hereafter “Employer”), and the Metropolitan Regional Council of Philadelphia and Vicinity of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, AFL-CIO, hereinafter called the Union or Council. (b) This Agreement shall be binding upon both parties hereunto, as well as upon their respective principals, and upon the respective successors and assigns of said parties and their principals, for the period beginning May 1, 2009 and ending at Midnight of April 30, 2012, without change or modification except as hereinafter specifically provided, and thereafter from year to year, unless either party hereto shall notify the other in writing at least ninety (90) days prior to the expiration of the term, or of any extended term, of this Agreement of an intention to change or amend any of the provisions of this Agreement upon expiration of its term or of any extended term thereof. Such notice shall be served by certified mail postmarked not less than ninety (90) days prior to such expiration date. (c) Should either party give notice to the other aforesaid, then, within thirty (30) days after the mailing of said notice, representatives of the Association and of the Council shall meet to discuss, negotiate, and agree upon such changes. If no agreement as to such changes is arrived at before the expiration of the term or of any then current extension of the term, of this Agreement, then the whole of this Agreement shall be considered terminated upon the expiration of the term, or of the then current extension of the term of this Agreement, unless extended by mutual agreement in writing of the parties hereto. (d) It is acknowledged by the parties to this Agreement, that it is in the best interest of the residential construction industry to stabilize wages, hours and working conditions; to create an available pool of labor from which skilled and proficient craftsmen shall be provided; and to institute a training program for journeymen and apprentices to meet the needs of this segment of the industry.
RESIDENTIAL AGREEMENT. All employees must be paid in full at the time of discharge or cheque mailed not later than the next regular pay day. One hour's notice to be given employee at the time of discharge or one hour's pay to be allowed in lieu thereof. All pay whether in cash or by cheque shall be accompanied by a pay slip or cheque stub which shall contain the following information: Hours Worked Rate of Pay Per Hour Income Tax Deducted Canada Pension Plan Employment Insurance Vacation Pay All contributionsand deductionsto be made in accordancewith the terms of the Agreement. Every Employer bound to this Agreement must issue to all of its employees (including pieceworkers) a pay slip or cheque stub together with their pay. Failure to issue the form or issue it properly completed may be the subjectof a grievance. Every Employermust provide, on request, a Union representative with copies of these payment forms for any employee Failure to do may be the subject of a grievance. Shouldno pay slip or cheque stub be made or should it not contain the information contained in the above hereof then provided the matter is raised within days of the date of delivery of the pay, the Employer shall be required to pay to the Joint Trade Board as liquidated damages a sum equal per each pay period to the amount of the cheque. In addition, the employee shall be fined by the Union the sum of per each pay period. The s shall be paid to the Joint Trade Board Committeewithin forty-eight (48) hours of the requirementto pay, failing which, the Union shall refer the matter to the Ontario Labour Relations Board to enforce payment. No claim shall be made for any period exceeding days.
