- Responsibilities of Laid Off Employees. It shall be the responsibility of the laid off employee to notify the Board of changes in his postal address. Laid off employees who have complied with this procedure shall be notified by the Board by registered mail at their last known address of the date and time at which they are to report to work, and should an employee fail to report within ten (10) days of being so notified the employee shall lose the right of re-employment but in no case shall the Board be obliged to re-employ any former employee who has been laid off for a period of eighteen (18) months or more.
