Responsibility Allowance for Work Outside the Bargaining Unit. Effective following the date of ratification: a. When the Employer temporarily assigns an employee to carry out the responsibilities of a salaried employee outside of the bargaining unit for a period in excess of one half (1/2) shift, the employee shall receiving an allowance of seven dollars and fifty cents ($7.50) for each shift from the time of the assignment. b. Where an RN is absent from her normal shift, and the Employer temporarily assigns an RPN to carry out some additional responsibilities of the absent RN for a period in excess of one half (1/2) shift, the employee shall receive an allowance of eight dollars ($8.00) for each shift. c. Where there is neither an RN nor a Supervisory employee (or above), who is a Registered Nursing in the building and there is an RPN in the building, the above noted allowance will apply to an RPN who is designated to be in charge of the building. d. It is understood and agreed that only one of the above noted premiums will apply at any one time.
