Rest and Meal Periods Rest Periods. Employees working a full shift shall receive two (2) fifteen (15) minute rest periods, one in each half of the shift. Employees working less than a full shift shall receive one (1) rest period if the shift is four (4) hours or more. Meal Periods All employees covered by the Collective Agreement working more than five (5) hour shift shall receive a one half (1/2) hour meal period. The Employer shall attempt to schedule the meal period as close as possible to the middle of the shift. If the Employer requires an employee to remain onsite during their meal break then the employee shall be paid straight time for that break.
